Story
Jensen is 10 years old and was born in Texas. He used to traveling by air and car! Very friendly towards older kids and adults. He loves quality time and has been a good companion for me over the past decade. Unfortunately our 3 year old is severely allergic to cats and dogs. We've had him on medication for the past two years. However, his allergy reaction has gotten much worse, causing breathing issues at night. We don't want to put him on more medication, which means Jensen stays outside as of now.

Please contact Marilyn at 856-275-6905 for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 April 25, 2024, 6:09 pm

Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13602Hi! My name is Stella and I’m guessed to be a 1 year old schnauzer mix dog. My weight at the moment is 30 pounds. I just got here so check back for more info but below is what my foster has learned about me so far!- I'm a young and very enthusiastic dog who loves running around and playing with toys (Nylabones are my favorite!). - My foster mom says I have a puppy mentality so will need some basic training. However, training should be a breeze since I'm very treat-motivated. My foster mom thinks I might even be good at agility work. - I'm already potty trained, and I haven't had any accidents in the house so far. Plus, I'm pretty quick when it comes to going potty, so you won't have to wait around for long.- I'm not a fan of my crate, but I'm learning that it's my safe space. I'd much rather be with my human family, though.- I'm super friendly and love to play with other dogs. Sometimes I get a little too excited when meeting new dogs, and I bark at them to get them to play with me.- I'm a strong girl, so I'm still working on leash training. But don't worry, we'll get there!- I'm also very affectionate and love giving kisses, hugs, and belly rubs.- I like my foster mom's young kids a lot, sometimes too much. I tend to jump on them when I want to play, but I'm learning to sit and be calm if I want attention.- I tend to get vocal when I see strangers walking by my home. It's just my way of letting everyone know that I'm always on the lookout and ready to keep my home safe and sound.Overall, I am very a sweet girl in search of my forever family. Could that be you? If so apply today because I won’t be around for long! This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read more about heartworm disease here

Story
Beamer, a 1 year old young, independent Schnauzer mix who has a spirit that's all his own weighs 25 pounds. He's the type of dog who loves to explore and is always on the move, sniffing out new adventures around every corner. Beamer wears a medium/scruffy coat of black and tan! He doesn't need constant attention, but he does appreciate a good belly rub from time to time. Beamer's independence doesn't mean he doesn't love company! He enjoys the companionship of humans and other dogs.  No cats, though! His youthful energy is infectious and his love of life is undeniable! Adopting Beamer means bringing home a friend who will always be there for you, ready to embark on new adventures together.
