Please contact Denise at 610-656-1291 (Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in New Castle, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 610-656-1291 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 January 20, 2026, 9:35 pm

Story
Please contact Jodi Rosenberg (jodi.rosenberg@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.scruffy sweetie seeking fresh start and love! LUNA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Luna        Best Guess for Breed: Schnauzer mix Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of November 2025         SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:  34 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Luna MUST to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog to show her the ropes.     See this sweetie and her sisters in this video! -  https://www.youtube.com/shorts/_KbHsEMh7DI   Luna is Looking For: Hi! The three of us - Chloe, Layka, and Luna - have had a great time growing together in Puerto Rico. We look so alike that we've pulled off the switcheroo trick often! But now we're ready to split up and get our own humans in the DC area. This is what we are looking for: Sniffy walks, romps, all the adventures our families can dream up, and lots of snuggles! Coat maintenance is important to us too - daily brushing, please, to make sure we don't get all matted.    But you know what I want most of all? To be safe and loved, to know where I belong. In exchange I promise so many adoring gazes and love and loyal companionship for all my days. What do you say? Do I get to go home with you? What My Foster Says About Me: Luna is just the sweetest little muppet. She was a little nervous after the long journey from Puerto Rico but warmed up quickly! She walks confidently on a leash, even with all the new sights and sounds in the city. She loves giving kisses and will gladly accept endless belly rubs. She adores bully sticks, XXL dog beds, and sniffy walks with the resident pup. After exploring the neighborhood, she's happy to curl up for a long nap on the couch and does really well sleeping in her crate overnight. With a little extra patience as she continues to adjust to life in the DMV, she'll make an adorable companion for any family!  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog  .   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life!  Please visit us online at      www.luckydoganimalrescue.org   .    BE A FOSTER!!! What My Foster Says About Me:  Chloe is a sweet girl who loves to greet you with kisses. She’s an energetic girl who loves to follow the lead of her foster siblings when going for walks. Heartworm information: Chloe is a truly Lucky Dog. She tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Chloe has completed this activity restriction period.   Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, heartworm information, and spay/neuter.
