Story
Hello to Paloma! With her shyer nature this little lady doesn`t like the hustle of shelter life so visit for her are by appointment only. She is a sweet 8 month old Sato girl who came to us all the way from Puerto Rico. We`re told that while she was there, she was left abandoned in a forest, all alone and scared. Lucky for her, a kind person found her and rescued her and eventually she made her journey to CAAA. Because the world has been such a scary place for her, she`s still learning to trust people and is very timid when meeting new people. Once she trusts you however, she will be your best friend! Paloma enjoys doing whatever makes her safe, and often that meaning snuggling deep into the arms and lap of the person who she trusts. When she feels like shes safe to relax, she will lay on your lap and roll on her side to get her belly rubbed. She is coming a long way and we`re very proud of this sweet girl for being brave enough to learn to trust people again! Paloma would love to go to someone who understands that she needs time and patience to open up, and she would probably do best in a quiet home where she can relax and adjust. If you have it in your heart to give this sweet shy girl the understanding she needs, she would love to be a new member of your family! If you`re interested in adopting Paloma, she is meeting by appointment only so please be sure to go to capeannanimalaid.org/dogapp and fill out an application today.

While volunteers review applications as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents. We rarely know a dog's exact age or full breed mix of dogs, as our information is usually limited.RNR’s ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting one of our adoptable pups is to fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you, review our adoption process, and answer any additional questions you may have. It is important to note that we do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions but on the best fit for a family and, most importantly, the dog.MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until your adoption application is submitted and reviewed.APPLYING ONLINE: When completing an application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device); make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email ##2237590##

Story
Meet Peanut! Peanut is about 5 years old, 20 lbs, and he may have some Schnauzer in his mix! In his foster home, he is proving he`s house trained and crate trained, and is scare of walking on leash. He could go to a home with older children and other dogs. He has not been exposed to cats. His foster says, `Peanut is such a great lap companion. He is a laid-back mild manner sweetheart. He loves nothing more than showing you how much he loves you by laying close to you (or on your lap). TRULY MANS BEST FRIEND!!!!! Peanut seeks a male companion. He seems less nervous when he finds a male that he trusts. He would be perfect for a male or a married couple that can work with him on his trust issues. He is good with women but prefers to be around a men. He has bonded really well with my husband. He prefers to be in his lap rather than mine. However, when Carl is not here, he does lay on my lap. A male lap is his security. He seems to trust men more than he does women.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on December 6th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
