Story
Well, hello there cutie! Johnny is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 41 pounds. Meet Johnny, such a nice boy who needs a little extra love right now. This sweetie is not interested in anything else other than being close to you and getting love. He is a little shy and insecure, but he seems open to trusting, it just may take some time. We feel Johnny may have had an abusive past with evidence his mouth was taped shut, poor muffin. He will tuck his cute little tail when he is scared. He for sure needs an adopter who will work on confidence building, trust and positive socialization. Johnny is very attentive to you, takes his treats nicely and would just blossom with the right family. He will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old with his shy nature. Johnny can't wait for a family to love and care for him like he deserves. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Johnny would love to meet them. He perks up as soon as he sees another dog. Another dog in the home may really help with his confidence building. If you are interested in Johnny and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Hi! My name is Lola and I am looking for my new family. I am tall and am what they call a redline Airedale. I don’t have all that fluff on my legs and face and my coat is hard and wiry. I am very bouncy and that is because I have lots of energy to burn off. A fenced yard to run and play in would be great. Some call me goofy, too. I am very affectionate with people and I love my car rides. To make my adoption the best ever, please NO OTHER DOGS! I do not like sharing my space with any other animal and I hope you understand that I want to be the star pet in your life. Please do not think you can take me to a dog park…it will not turn out well, but play with me in your fenced yard and we will be friends forever. I am with a trainer now who is working with me on some of the basics and I hope you can continue that training. I really do want to be a good girl for you. If you are interested in giving Lola her new home, please go to the SOAR website and fill out an application: https://soar-airedale-rescue.com/ Tell us you are interested in Lola.

Story
Hi friends! My name is Clyde and I'm announcing auditions for my new family! I'm looking for a family with a fenced yard. I'd love to have a dog sibling to play with. I really love to play! I also love car rides, snuggles, and I love being petted so much that I make funny little noises. My foster mom says I'm so sweet! I have what people sometimes call "stranger danger", so I'm looking for a home that doesn't get a lot of visitors. They make me nervous and I don't trust them until my parents introduce them to me and I know they won't hurt me. I'll slowly warm up to them once I feel safe. I'm very afraid of the Vet and the groomer. My old family gave me medicine so I could go to the Vet. This is something we can work on together. My foster mom is a trainer and she can give you a few tips on how you can be the best forever family for me. I can't wait to hear from you!
