Story
Calua's basic bio is below, but we maintain more detailed information about each of our animals on our website, which is also always up to date with animals removed immediately once they are adopted. Please visit Calua's page on our site (https://www.muddypawsrescue.org/adoptable?dog=009146) to learn even more about Calua! Additionally, please note that the breed listed for Calua is just our best guess based on the dog's physical features. We cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy of our guesses. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO VOLUME, WE ARE GENERALLY UNABLE TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES MADE USING THE 'ASK ABOUT ME' BUTTON. Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org. Calua is an incredibly sweet and loving older girl who has a heart full of warmth and affection. She's always ready to offer cuddles and and be your shadow. Despite her age, Calua still has a lively spirit and a playful energy. She is a pro at fetch and nibbling at her stuffed toys. She loves to follow you around, always wanting to be near, and her favorite thing in the world is a good belly rub, which she happily soaks up with pure joy. Her curious nature means she’s always interested in what’s going on around her, eager to explore and learn, but she does it all with a gentle and loving demeanor. Calua’s combination of spunk, sweetness, and open-heartedness makes her a truly special companion who brings comfort and happiness to everyone she meets.

Story
Hi!  My name is Benji and I am looking for a forever home.  I along with lots of other dogs were part of the dogs BCAA stepped up for when a puppy mill was closing and reached out for help.  Many of us were so matted that we had to be shaved down which included me, but my hair is starting to grow back and I am now starting to look like the schnauzer I am supposed to be.  I only weigh around 10lbs and at around a year old, I shouldn't get much bigger.  I was so scared when I first came into foster, I first went to a Dog Prison Program where I got lots of one-on-one attention, and while I'm still on the shy and skittish side my foster mom that I'm with now says I've come such a long way from when she first met me, and with continued patience, TLC and some treats says I'm going ot make a really good boy.  I have gotten along with the other small dogs I have met and would love to find a home with another dog that I could look to for some guidance in navigating dealing with everyone.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any bedding.  I love my food and treats.  While in the Prison Program, I learned about a leash and surprised my foster mom with how good I was walking on one.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.  Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter.
