Story
Topper is adorable and small! And you won’t believe his story! We find dogs here all the time, but we were driving way out in the country and there was a short guardrail over a ditch, we just happened to come around a curve just in time to see Topper hopping that guardrail to hide in the woods! If we had been even seconds later, we wouldn’t have seen him! Poor boy was hungry and came right to us. There were no houses around and we are sure he was dumped out there. (The last pic is him smiling right after we found him!) Topper is sweet and perky! He loves to play and would do great with kids and/or other dogs! He’s about a year old, and is house and crate-trained! Topper will make a great best friend! Just so glad we spotted him! RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please go to: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com

Story
🥒PICKLE😍 Pickle is a 1.5-2year old schnauzer mix that is the sweetest boy EVER! His foster mom said she would keep him in an instant if she had the time for another full time pup! 🐕 His foster mom says she’s not sure if he knows the “right way” to play with a ball, but she has never seen a dog more excited to run circles around one! She says he’s the sweetest little doofy dog. He loves to snuggle, and he follows her from room to room in the house and lays at her feet while she works all day. The perfect work from home buddy! 😍 Pickle can be lazy but also has a ton of energy once you get him going. He loves to act silly in the front window when someone is coming home. He is also completely non-reactive to the 5 lb senior grouchy dog in the home, even when his food is being stolen right from his bowl! 🐶 This handsome boy is a little nervous about new experiences, but once he’s settled in, he’s up for anything. He’s been to the brewery and on a trip to the river, and both times he was shy at first, but after a little while, he was great! He loves other dogs, but isn’t the “dog park” type because it would likely be overwhelming. He’s always down for play dates and binging Netflix!🐾 Pickle’s foster mom has noticed that he has some separation anxiety that she’s working on, but he needs more training to be left in his crate for more than about 2 hours at a time. Because of this, we would love for him to go to a patient home whose family is there more often than not! 🏡 We would LOVE to see him go to a family with another playful pup. He needs a big yard or someone who will take him out to play to release some energy…not constantly or for hours everyday, but he does get bored of too many lazy days in a row. Have we mentioned he LOVES dogs?? A real dog’s dog! And a friend to everyone. Pickle is such a good boy and he’s ready for his “forever” now!🫶🏼 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Story
Adoption Donation   $   599     Located:  in KY  (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details )    Age: approx  6 months old    Weight: 15 lbs    If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:   ssotis@cox.net Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.     Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc.
