Story
McGraw (aka “The Audacity in a Fur Coat” ) McGraw is a 6-month-old Schnauzer mix who radiates confidence, charm, and pure audacity. He’s cute — offensively cute — which is fortunate, because he’s also a bit of a menace. Honestly, he’s lucky he’s handsome. It’s the only reason we haven’t sent him packing for his unapologetic antics. He’s brilliant, but not in a helpful way. You can expect a constant stream of feedback—he’s nothing if not expressive. He’ll let you know exactly how he feels about everything— sometimes through barking, sometimes through grumbling, and occasionally through what we’ll call “constructive growling.” Don’t worry, it’s mostly just his way of expressing that you’ve mildly inconvenienced him. He’s the type of dog who’ll steal your heart and your spot on the couch, then growl when you try to take it back. He does well with kids, cats, and other dogs — assuming everyone understands who’s in charge here (hint: it’s McGraw ). He’s crate trained, picking up house training, neutered, vaccinated, and running entirely on confidence and misplaced self-importance. He’ll make you laugh, cry, and question your life choices , often in the same hour. McGraw will require an adopter with either a lot of experience or the patience of a saint — preferably both. You’ll need a sense of humor, low blood pressure, and a good understanding of irony. If you enjoy sarcastic commentary, mildly toxic relationships, and being bossed around by someone under two feet tall, McGraw is your guy. Apply now, or don’t— his self esteem will remain unaffected.

Story
Meet Cooper! Cooper is a happy, affectionate boy who truly shines when he’s out and about with his people. He loves going for walks and would be just as content exploring a hiking trail as he would be curled up beside you for a movie marathon. When Cooper steps out of his kennel, his face lights up with the biggest, brightest smile; and we know that smile will only grow once he finds his perfect fur-ever home. Cooper was adopted and returned after struggling with anxiety around unfamiliar people. With a little patience, structure, and understanding, he shows just how loving and loyal he can be. To help set him up for success, Cooper comes with post-adoption training support to help his new family feel confident and supported every step of the way. Cooper is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. He would thrive as the only pet in an adult-only home where he can soak up all the love he deserves. In the right environment, this sweet boy is ready to be an amazing adventure buddy, couch companion, and best friend!

Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Sweet 5m old Frida from Puerto Rico. All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there)Twitter: zanisff Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

Story
Otis is a friendly, joyful young boy with a big personality and an even bigger love for life. He’s social with other dogs and loves to run and play, but he’s just as happy soaking up attention when people are around. Toys of all kinds are a win for him, and food is definitely one of his favorite things.   Otis walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys being out and about. He’s expressive and not shy about letting you know when he wants something, whether that’s food, playtime, or attention. After meals, he needs a prompt potty break and does best with a consistent routine.   One important thing to know is that regular grooming will be part of Otis’s routine, so potential adopters should be prepared to keep up with brushing and professional grooming as needed.   One of Otis’s standout traits is his face. He has endless expressions that will absolutely make you laugh and keep you smiling. He’s an outgoing, happy dog who brings a lot of joy wherever he goes.   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.   ##2630165##

Story
Meet Snoopy! This scruffy little gentleman is a whirlwind of excitement and love all wrapped up in a fifteen pound package. Snoopy is shy and nervous around new people, but his trust is worth the effort. Give him some time and a few dozen snacks and he'll be barking with excitement and bouncing impossibly high in the air when he sees his person. Snoopy came from a home where he didn't receive much socialization so he's still learning about the outside world and everything new might be a little scary. Snoopy has made so much progress while in our care - he's grown to love and trust staff, realized how much fun zoomies and yard-time is, and even learned to walk on leash! Snoopy is in our special adoption program which provides additional counseling to set adopters and their new pets up for success. Snoopy would do best in a quiet adult only home. If you are interested in him, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and email Claire at cshamgochian@parl.org to learn more and set up a meet and greet.
