Story
Hi there! My name is Queen Abby and trust me, I live up to my royal name! I’m a stunning 6-year-old chocolate American cocker spaniel girl weighing 15lbs, and I’m retiring from my breeding career to find my palace (aka my forever home!). Let me tell you about my personality – I’m super sweet and loving, and I get SO excited when you pet me that I get the zoomies! Yes, the zoomies! I love everyone I meet and would probably do well with older, dog-savvy children. I’m great with other dogs, especially my fellow cocker spaniel friends (we just get each other, you know?). When tested with the resident cat, I didn’t pay them much attention, so cats might be just fine! I also do great at the groomer – I know how to be pampered like the queen I am! Now, about my royal training needs: I may have been housebroken earlier in my life, but I’ll need retraining to refresh those skills. Same goes for leash walking – I’m ready to learn with your patient guidance! One thing to know: I can be a bit protective of my food bowl (a queen must protect her feast!), but I’m not aggressive about it. Just give me space during mealtimes and we’re golden. 🍽️ I’m ready to trade in my crown for cuddles and my throne for your couch! Will you be my forever family? Apply to adopt me through the rescue website: www.floridacockerrescue.org Adoption fee: $375

Story
Hi ya, I’m Georgie! I’m a 4-year-old, 26 lb Cocker Spaniel boy, and I’m basically a fun-loving goofball wrapped in a beautiful coat! Let me tell you about myself! I’m the kind of guy who lives life at full speed with maximum enthusiasm. I’m happy, playful, and I LOVE being in your face because you’re just so awesome! When I’m in the yard, I turn into a silly acrobat—I run around like a whirlwind, jump up to get your attention, and chase lizards like it’s my Olympic sport! Spoiler alert: I haven’t caught one yet, but that doesn’t stop me from trying! I’m good with other dogs and would absolutely LOVE an active doggie sibling to match my energy and keep up with all my shenanigans. I have good house manners and I don’t mind the crate. I’m super excited to ride in the car (road trip buddy right here!), and I’m very food motivated, which means training with treats is going to be a breeze for us! Full transparency: I pull on the leash because I just get SO excited about everything, but with some leash training from my new owner, I’ll be walking like a gentleman in no time! Here’s the important stuff: I need a cocker-savvy adopter or family who understands my breed and can handle my high energy and enthusiasm. I’m not a good fit for homes with kids—I need a household that can give me the structure and attention I thrive on. If you’re looking for a silly, playful, lizard-chasing companion who will keep you laughing and on your toes, I’m your guy! Visit www.floridacockerrescue.org to apply! ADOPTION FEE: $350

Story
Hey there, future best friend! The name’s Bob, and at 9 years young, I’m proof that life gets better with age! This handsome reddish buff coat and my perfect 27-pound snuggle size have made me quite the catch around here! My world may be mostly quiet - I can’t hear much except really loud sounds - but that just means I’m an excellent listener with my eyes! I’ve mastered hand signals like a furry genius and follow simple commands perfectly. Who needs ears when you’ve got this much charm? I recently discovered my playful side again! You’ll catch me chasing around the house with slippers in my mouth (oops were those yours?) or playfully engaging my humans or foster siblings. It’s like I’m a puppy again! But don’t worry - I still love my afternoon naps and leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. Breakfast and dinner? Those are MY times to shine! If you are not sure what time it is, I will absolutely remind you if you’re running late with my meals. A guy’s gotta eat! I’m the friendliest fellow - I like other dogs and probably cat-savvy kitties, and new humans instantly become my best friends. I am always available for head and belly rub sessions! Looking for a low-key companion who loves car rides, gentle walks, and all the treats life has to offer? I’m your guy! Just remember - no crates please (they scare me), and I’d prefer not to be alone too long. I’m much better company than Netflix anyway! Ready to fall in love? Send in your application today — go to www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $295
