Tabby kittens & cats in Murphysboro, Illinois

A mom and six babies showed up at our house and the mother disappeared. We live on a highway and have lost 4 kittens to the roadway. The remaining two females were brought into our home. They have been spayed and have their rabies shot. I already have three inside cats and a yellow lab inside our home. These kittens are about 9 months old and have adjusted fairly well to indoor living. They are a bonded pair, and we would want them to go to the same household. They could be inside or barn cats. They have both adapted to indoor living but still are quite alert and quick to respond to movement. I'm assuming this is instinct from being in the wild as babies. Tammy has lighter markings on her face and is a bit smaller than Loretta. Tammy enjoys sitting with me on the couch in the evening and sharing popcorn. She is very vocal and will talk to you as long as you want to pet and talk to her. Loretta is a more serious kitten. She does enjoy playing and lots of pets. She too is very vocal.

What a handsome boy! Tairn is a lovable Tabby that was brought to us after his family moved away and left him. Good neighbors brought him to Saint Francis so we could find him a loving home. This is one super lovable and sweet cat that is very affectionate and already stolen the hearts of staff and volunteers. Tairn immediately got along with all the other cats in the Cat House, so he would do well in a home with other cats. Tairn is just a great cat; sweet, gentle and very affectionate. This is Baby, a beautiful 2-year-old Tortoise kitty that was brought to us because her owner passed away. Baby has had a challenging transition from her loving home to St. Francis, as she initially spent most of her time hiding in one of the cat caves and was not eating. Staff and volunteers have spent a lot of time letting Baby know she is in a safe place and that she is loved. She is still a bit timid but is coming out more each day to see staff and visitors. Baby enjoys a gentle head or back scratch. She is now mingling with the other cats, which shows she is feeling safe and comfortable. Baby is truly a sweet and gentle little girl that will make a loving pet. We are hoping sweet Baby will soon find a loving forever home to get the love and affection she clearly misses from her previous owner. Please visit: Https://www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt for adoption information or Https://www.stfrancis-care.org/apply for the adoption application.
