Story
Hello! Spice is 1/6 from her litter. Born in July of 2023 to a young mother (roughly 1yo) who tragically passed away, along with one of the kittens from that same litter, within 5 weeks of their birth. My mother and I held onto all remaining living cats up until this point (they will be 3 this year). We took care of costs of spaying/neutering all of the cats. Spice specifically has only one behavioral problem and that’s going to the bathroom outside of her designated litter boxes. We’ve seen her use the litter boxes before plenty of times, so it isn’t that she isn’t trained. We just think maybe she’s not happy with living with her 4 siblings anymore, as none of them really get along anymore. We think she’d thrive with less cats. But she loves our big dogs very much!! And she’s okay with children. She’s very affectionate, vocal, and sweet. She’s curious about the outdoors but is 100% an indoor kitty. Thank you for taking the time to read her story! I hope to find her furrever home!

Story
This is Taurus, Leo, and Gemini. The zodiac cats/brothers. They are about 4 years old and are very loving cats looking for a new home due to their owner relocating/moving. The owner has had them since they were kittens and they get along great with dogs, cats, and kids. They are also all neutered and all still have their claws. These cats love being pet and belly rubs and are very very friendly. They have never been trained to be picked up or carried and don't necessarily enjoy being picked up or carried.

Crispy Sox 🖤🤍With a name like Crispy Sox, you know there’s personality involved — and this 3-ish-year-old gentleman delivers.Crispy Sox is a sweet boy with a soft heart and an even softer middle. (Yes, he’s a little on the chubby side, and yes, it makes him extra adorable.) He might hang back when you first meet him — just taking it all in, making sure you pass the vibe check — but underneath that slightly reserved exterior is a cat who really wants to be loved. He’s not flashy. He’s not chaotic. He’s more of a quiet companion who will warm up in his own time. Approach him gently, give him a little patience, and you’ll see him lean into pets, relax into your presence, and start to show his tender side.Crispy Sox is at that perfect age — past the wild kitten stage but still young enough for plenty of playful moments and years of companionship. He’d thrive in a home that understands that some of the best bonds are built slowly. Once he knows he’s safe, he’s all yours. If you’re looking for a slightly squishy, very sweet, low-key best friend, Crispy Sox is ready to cozy up and claim a spot on your couch (and maybe your heart). 💛An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $200.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice.Cats and kittens are minimum donation $50.00

🌾🤎 Meet Dupree 🤎🌾4 months old | Male | Brown Tabby | Littermate to CheriseDupree is a thoughtful little tabby with a tender heart and a quiet curiosity about the world.Like his sister Cherise, he came to us as part of a litter and was unsure of all the new sights and sounds at first. Big changes can feel overwhelming when you’re just a few months old. But with patience, consistency, and the loving guidance of one of our wonderful volunteers, Dupree has been steadily building confidence. Now we’re seeing his personality shine through. He’s observant. He watches before he leaps. He takes his time deciding who to trust — but once you’re in his circle, you’ll see the sweetest side of him. He’s learning that hands bring comfort, not fear, and that affection is something he can lean into.Dupree would thrive in a home that understands that the best bonds are built slowly. He doesn’t need to be the loudest kitten in the room — he just needs someone willing to meet him where he is.He is:🤎 Neutered🤎 Up to date on vaccines🤎 Litter box trained🤎 Growing braver every dayIf you’re looking for a gentle soul who will reward patience with deep loyalty, Dupree may be your guy. Sometimes the quiet ones end up stealing the whole show.Come meet him and see for yourself. 🌹An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Fire 🔥If you’re looking for a spark of joy in your life, Fire is your guy. This handsome orange boy is basically perfection wrapped in fur. He’s playful, affectionate, and full of that classic orange-cat charm. Toys? Yes. Wrestling matches with his brothers Earth and Wind? Absolutely. Cuddles after he’s tired himself out? Every single time.Fire adores his brothers and thrives with feline friends. He gets along with everyone — cats, people, probably the furniture. He’s social, confident, and brings a warm, happy energy wherever he goes.Despite his bold name, Fire isn’t wild — he’s just lively in the best way. He loves to play hard and then melt into sweetness just as quickly. Head bumps, purrs, and snuggles are all part of the package. If you’re ready to add a little warmth, love, and playful chaos (the good kind) to your home — and maybe even keep the elemental crew together — Fire is ready to light up your life. 🔥🧡An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt.
