Story
Meet Miss Bunny UPDATE: November She really does miss the other two. She is showing no signs of pain or difficulty, jumping or running. She likes to lay with me, especially in the evenings. Totally a snuggles cat. This fluffball, was found huddled soaking wet and cold in the rain at the very edge of a busy highway in Pulaski County. We surmise she hopped a ride under a car and fell out. But who knows? She can't tell us. What she does tell us is she is a loving girl who has some SPECIAL NEEDS. SPCHS is very picky about all adopters to ensure the best home for each animal in our care. But Bunny has a genetic issue with her spine, it seems there is extra space or a missing vertebra. This causes her gait to be more like a hop, but it doesn't slow her down. But she will have to be watched for deterioration and perhaps limited on big jumps. She quite possibly will need pain medication thru out her life. Nothing slows her down currently playing full out with her foster siblings Sammie and Shade. Bunny is about 16 weeks and has had vaccines and flea/tick medication and wormed. Her adoption fee includes, combo testing, spaying and micro chip for ID. If you are interested in helping Bunny with her forever home fill out the SPCHS application.

Story
Cutie Pie Moore came to the Humane Society with a horribly injured leg. It is believed that the leg was caught in a coyote trap but Cutie managed to pull loose. But in doing so the skin and fur was peeled back and all the tendons were torn and non repairable. The correct choice to allow her to heal was to amputate the leg. Surgery was successful and Cutie Pie is recovering well. She is such a sweet cat, fully of love and purrs despite the horror and pain she endured. We need a foster home and eventurally an adopter for this special survivor feline who truly adorable. Due to her limitations and fear of dogs, we prefer only homes iwth older children over 8 years old and NO dogs. Please fill out applications found at www.bhumane.org

Story
Meet Earl. He wandered out of the woods and found by his foster mom. He has been to SAH for vaccines and testing. He is a sturdy boy, gray tabby with white accents. Short haired. Seems to be a fairly laid back easy going boy. Gets along well with other cats and the small dogs in the home. Earl seems to LOVE men. Probably between 1-2 years of age.

Story
Kasey was rescued from a a dreadful overgrown weedy junk yard. She was in the middle of labor when the Humane society got on site. She was struggling to deliver kittens in a rusty metal crate. She was a marvelous attentive mama. They are all grown and adopted, but Kasey has remained incredibly shy and afraid of new situations UNLESS Tommy McLin, her soul mate is with her. We are quite sure that Kasey wouldn't survive without Tommy so they must be adopted as a pair..

Story
Honey is just as sweet as her name, and she’s also full of sass! This beautiful girl came to us as a stray, neglected and starving for love. With the care of her foster family, she has made an incredible transformation and is now healthy, happy, and ready for her forever home. Honey is about 2 years old. Honey is a true lap cat who loves her people. She’ll curl up with you for cuddles, make biscuits like her life depends on it, and meow to make sure she’s always heard loud and clear. She also loves to perch in high places where she can survey her “kingdom,” snuggle into only the coziest blankets, and enjoy her favorite scratching toys. Honey does well with respectful dogs and is comfortable around children. She tolerates other cats and could live with a small number of calm feline friends, but she’d also be happy as your one and only. Most of all, she loves her humans and is ready to give her heart to a family who will cherish her. Honey is fully vetted: spayed, UTD on vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Honey, please submit an application at tgspca.org/cat-application

Story
Sherbie is an adorable little gremlin with the biggest personality! If you are looking for a kitten who is hilarious, playful, and snuggly, Sherbie is your girl. She is incredibly friendly and loves to play, but she also loves to cuddle and purr away. Sherbie is about 6 months old. Sherbie absolutely loves to purr and snuggle, and is always down to hang out on the couch and take a nap. However, she is a wild child too and loves to run and play and loves to bop around the house looking for fun. She is definitely the best of both worlds when it comes to a kitten! Sherbie loves other cats and is looking for a home with a playful companion. She loves to hang with her foster brother, Kass, if there are no other cats in the home. Based on her outgoing nature, we expect she'd do well with kids and dogs. Sherbie is fully vetted: spayed, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Sherbie, please submit an application at tgspca.org/cat-application or via the Buddy app Our fosters are located in south central Kentucky, but we welcome out of state adopters and can work with families on transportation. Story
Zoey is s massive snugglebug looking for a lap to curl up in. Whenever she has a chance, she will be curled up next to you or in your lap. She is happiest when her human is near, and will purr away and love all over you. She is definitely the kind of kitten who will be happy to hang with you on the couch! Zoey loves to chase after toys and play with her sisters. She is also a huge fan of tuna treats--they are the quickest way to her heart! However, at the end of the day, what Zoey really loves is to cuddle! Zoey would love to be adopted with her “twin”, Momo, though it is not required. We expect she would adjust well to a home with older children and calm dogs. Zoey would also be well-suited to life as a solo cat. She can be a bit nervous at first in new situations, but she is incredibly loving and adaptable! Once she warms up, she will be your best friend. Zoey is fully vetted: spayed, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Zoey, please submit an application at tgspca.org/cat-application
