Story

Mackie was born to an outdoor ginger named Easter in the spring of 2020. For several years, Mackie shared wet food meals with her mother through a screen door. As a kitten, Mackie was adept at spiking back paper balls and still enjoys challenging herself to jump up higher than the doorknob. I am unable to take care of Mackie as I am the primary caregiver to my dad, who is now in a nursing home, and my mom, who is in and out of the hospital with multiple chronic conditions. Due to these recent family stressors, Mackie is provided with pheromone collars and catnip to remind her that she is safe and loved. Mackie has been a constant companion to her owners. She is a gentle soul that has never bitten or scratched anyone. Her favorite food flavors are chicken and turkey, and she is good at drinking water. Slow blinking is her love language and abiding affection is her North Star.

My name is Sandy Squeaks. m a five-month-old female orange kitten looking for a forever home. I was lucky to be found by a kind human during a windy storm when I was only a month old. I found out that I am a rare cat. It turns out that female orange cats are uncommon because they have both X chromosome, when usually 80% of the orange cats are male. I’m a rare kitty!! I also met a very nice vet. He gave me medicine for fleas and worms. I’m also fixed! I like 2 run, jump and hide in tiny spaces. I love taking short naps. I’m potty trained. I have FIV. It means that my immune system is a little sensitive, but I can still live a long, healthy life with indoor care. FIV is not contagious to humans, but is transmitted to other cats mainly through deep bite wounds or from a mommy. I got it from my mom. I feel very special to be a rare orange cat with FIV. I just need a loving family who desires so we can cuddle and play all day. Just you know my purring is pretty loud.

What started as two tiny kittens in a box quickly turned into a beautiful rescue story filled with love commitment and patience. Their rescuer personally ensured they had everything they needed including warmth proper nutrition and round the clock care and has lovingly watched them grow from fragile babies into the playful curious kittens they are today. Personality Comet and Star are sweet wild in the best way and absolute cuddle buddies. They share a close bond but each has their own unique personality. One may be the explorer while the other prefers snuggles. They love to play nap together and curl up with their favorite humans. They have been socialized with other kittens and a large calm dog and while they may be a little nervous at first with patience and love they truly blossom. He was rescued from the Secaucus train station, where he and his brother Jupiter were found in danger along the tracks. Thanks to rescue, Jersey has blossomed into a confident, happy kitten who loves attention and being handled. He is affectionate, social, and full of kitten energy, making him a joy to have around. Jersey does wonderfully with other kittens and would be very happy to be adopted with his brother Jupiter, who he shares a close bond with. All of his siblings have been adopted but Solo was the runt of the litter and very small, so we decided to hold him back and let him grow and flourish into his beautiful self. Solo is fostered with other cats and gets along great with other cats. He has been introduced to dogs and with slow introductions can live happily with a dog or dogs. Solo enjoys his toys and climbing on cat trees. When he is not playing, he loves to lay out and relax. If you allow him, he will happily be a lap cat. He would do great with children of all ages. He can adjust to almost any type of environment and would thrive in a home that is calm and more active. Solo would make the best partner in crime for the perfect household. More than 80% of orange cats are males, and we are fortunate to have these 2 gorgeous orange girls that fall into the small percent of orange cats that are female. Butters and Honey are beautiful orange cats that were surrendered to us by the family when their owner passed away from old age. Unfortunately, none of the family members could keep them. Butters is quite a bit younger than Honey, and we believe she could have been Honeys kitten. She is only about 10-12 months old. Butters is also smaller than Honey and only weighs about 7-8 pounds. She loves to roll on her back for belly rubs whenever she’s near you. Butters absolutely loves her ears being rubbed and will let you pet her for hours. She is very much a lap cat, as well as Honey is. The foster brags about how so very sweet both girls are. Honey is about 2-3 years old and a long hair beauty. Honey is amazing. When we got her we didn’t know she was pregnant and within 2 weeks, we had 4 beautiful newborn kitties! Not only was she the BEST mom, she took on not 1, not 2, but FOUR more kittens that their mom died, and they needed a nursing mom to survive. She nursed 8 kittens, 4 not hers, and loved them all like her own. Now that she is kitten free, Honey loves to get pets and even has toys she can play with, that she enjoys playing with, and she doesn’t have to compete with her kitties. When she isn’t playing, she is napping, and she loves a nice lap to lay in! Both cats are soooo so docile. All they want to do is be next to or with their humans. Honey and Butters LOVE to be held and carried around. If you’re lonely, either Butters or Honey would make WONDERFUL companions. They are not bonded and do not have to stay together. Both are GREAT with other cats They have lived with dogs and have no issues with dogs They do good with children Love to be held 100% Lap Cats Litter box Trained Butters and Honey are spayed, microchipped, current on feline distemper and feline leukemia vaccinations, dewormed, will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian and the adoption fee DOES NOT INCLUDE transport to the location this post is in.
