Story
Bingo won the lottery! He was rescued on my property before the harsh winter settled in. 9 months in and he is now fully domesticated. We successfully reached our goal; hence, he is ready for adoption to a responsible loving home, indoors only. He is a 3 yr old male brown tabby 10 lbs, microchipped, vetted, vaccinated, neutered and healthy. He is confident, trusting, affectionate, loving, playful, frisky, and food/treat driven. Unknown if he should be housed with other cats; however, he loves my dogs! He will be homed with his personal belongings including his cat tree house. My mission is providing a safe haven for my rescues while ensuring they are spayed/neutered. I live in rural country and I rescue on average 1-2 cats per year. Location: Bethany, NY (near Batavia, NY).

Story
Wilson is a beautiful Orange Tabby cat. He is so friendly and a great cat. He is a senior cat and is looking for a forever home with someone that he can cuddle with. He will do very well with kids. He loves people so much, and he purrs all day. I would say to have him be the only cat. That is preferred for him at this stage. He is up to date on all shots and vet visits. We will include food, litter, feeder, food storage, and litter box to a good home.

Story
Gatsby The Ultimate Lap Cat with a Heart of Gold Gatsby is a stunning red tabby born on November 18, 2024, and hes every bit as sweet as he looks. This gentle boy absolutely adores being close and will happily spend hours curled up in a warm lap, purring softly and soaking up every bit of love he can get. Hes the kind of cat who makes any day better just by being nearaffectionate, calm, and endlessly loving. Gatsby would like to be an only cat and would be happiest in a quiet home with older children (12+) who can appreciate his tender, snuggly nature. He prefers a dog-free environment where he can relax and be the cherished center of attention. He is neutered, has age appropriate vaccine, parasite treated, tested negative for both FIV and FeLV and microchipped, Gatsby is ready to fill his forever home with warmth, comfort, and the sweetest lap cuddles imaginable. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ PLEASE READ: 1) I do home visits for all the cats/kittens for adoption. I am not currently able to adopt to anyone living more than 1 hour outside of Rochester, NY. 2) I require a vet reference and will contact them. 3) Most of the cats in my care come from the streets and have had a bad start in life. They usually would do best in a home with older children and NO dogs. 4) All the cats/kittens that are up for adoption will be spayed/neutered, have age appropriate vaccinations, combo tested and treated for fleas and worms. 5) An approved application is necessary prior to a meet and greet,

Story
Aspen is a Female Gray Tiger DSH Kitten. Generally kitten season blossoms in June with approximately 60 in foster. By August and September, we peak with approximately 90 kittens. We have several dedicated volunteers who accept applications for kittens and try to match them up with foster kittens. We then set up meet and greets for fosters and families prior to the kittens being ready for adoption. All of our kittens are adopted after they are 3 months old AND they are spayed/neutered. All of the medical care and surgery expenses are covered by donations to Volunteers For Animals. Their adoption fee is $100 (cash or checks only). If you are interested in a kitten, we suggest you email us so that we can begin the process of matching for you. This is an involved process so please do not call the Shelter. Your email will be forwarded to our dedicated volunteers who will then send you details including an adoption application. You can Contact Us through the website to start the process. We are all volunteers and our dedicated kitten volunteers are diligent about responding to all inquiries. We appreciate your patience.   Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $100 fee for any county animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. All cats must leave in a carrier.   Thank you for considering a homeless animal.August 20, 2026, 3:02 pm

Story
Jazz is a 7-year-old spayed female Tortoiseshell DSH. Jazz has a distinctive appearance because of her crumpled ears, most likely the result of years of untreated ear infections. But don’t let that stop you from getting to know this sweet girl — she is a genuine sweetheart. She came from a household with dogs and other cats and has experience living peacefully with them.    Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved.
