Story
Looking for a fun, beautiful, and dynamic duo of bonded brothers? Check out Beast and Snake! 😺 This stunning pair of 5 year old boys lived life being spoiled, loved, and well cared for. Sadly, they ended up in our rescue after their elderly owner passed away 😔 The boys have settled into foster care and luckily still have each other, but they are ready to find a forever home where they can bond with a caring family 💙 Beast (grey/silver tabby) was given his name because he was the biggest kitten in the litter 💪 Snake (brown tabby) got his name because he was the longest kitten 🐍😂 The boys are a bonded pair that cannot be separated, and their personalities compliment each other so well! Beastie is the outgoing explorer of the duo. He’s playful, especially when leaping after his favorite long fleece toy, and will happily follow you from room to room ❤️ His biggest talent is playing fetch! 🧶 Beastie loves attention and cuddles, and will happily purr away on your lap 🥰 Snakey follows in Beastie's lead after checking out his surroundings first 😆 Once comfortable in his environment, Snake will zoom around with Beast, gladly accept pets, and make himself your trusted companion 😺 The boys are both human oriented and enjoy being around their families - kids included! Their other hobbies include birdwatching, chasing each other around, snuggling up together, and somehow managing to both fit into the same cat tree compartment 😂

Story
Who is looking for a kitten that loves to be swaddled? 😍 Lucy is a 6 month old grey and white tabby girl. Lucy and her family were taken in and cared for by a kind human, and she thankfully ended up safe and sound in foster care soon after! Lucy is a gem of a kitten 💎 She's used to living with other cats, and as soon as she landed in foster care, the first thing she did was call out and try to find some kitties nearby 🥺 Unfortunately, the resident cats are ignoring Lucy 😂 She's looking for a home with another friendly cat or kitten that she can form a bond with ❤️ With humans, Lucy starts off a little shy, but winning her over doesn't take too long 😄 All you need is a blanket... and maybe a lollipop 🍭 Lucy absolutely loves being wrapped up and held for hours and hours 🥰 Whether you're looking for a movie night buddy or a napping companion, she'll make you very happy 😸 Lucy would do well in a home with respectful children - once she opens up, she really enjoys being pampered! According to the foster's daughter, Lucy has the softest toe beans ever 🫘

Story
DOB: 06/15/2025 Houdini Litter She's a gentle, shy girl who just needs a little patience, but once she trusts you, she becomes incredibly sweet and cuddly. Huge foodie! If she hears a treat bag, a can opening, or even a crinkly paper bag... she'll zoom right to your side. She chirps! Snickers rarely meows, instead she makes the cutest little chirps when she's excited or curious. Does amazing with other cats. She feels safest and most confident with a cat friend, so she'll do best in a home with another friendly kitty. Having another cat around really helps her open up and show her true colors. Slow-to-warm but worth it. Give her time, love, and space, and she'll blossom into the sweetest little shadow who follows you around and snuggles up close.

Story
Tako is loving cat that I adopted from my roommates family farm at eight weeks old. He loves all people and enjoys cuddling and especially climbing up onto your shoulder. Earlier this year I became pregnant and this change seem to cause him a lot of stress and he was not acting himself. Then when the baby came, he continued to have difficulty adjusting. It has now been several months and unfortunately it has not gotten any better. Tako would do best at home without kids. He does tolerate other dogs would probably prefer to be a single pet or a household with other cats potentially.

Story
Looking for some serious love? These bonded brothers, Otis and Jerry Lee, are overflowing with it and ready to give it all to a loving home. They're healthy, cuddly, and just plain adorable! They love to play, nap, and of course, eat! I've had them since they were born (May 7th, 2024), and they've been socialized with other cats and kids of all ages. They're litterbox pros, too! I've recently had to move to a smaller apartment due to becoming disabled. The landlord is cool with my two female cats, but not the boys. He's been super kind and let me keep them until I can find them the perfect forever home. Could you be the one to give these sweet boys the love they deserve?

Story
Pratt is an adult neutered male Black DSH. Are you the one that will be willing to open your heart and home to a special needs mini panther?  Please consider this easy-going guy.  His mellow nature makes him an ideal companion for someone looking for a 'lap cat.' He can live with dogs and other cats (with proper intros) which makes him a versatile addition to many households. Because he 'bumps into things,' he simply needs a consistent home layout—a small accommodation for a lifetime of love. Visually impaired cats like Pratt rely heavily on their senses of hearing, touch, and smell to build a mental map of their surroundings. He would do best in a home without young children. He will be having a dental 12/26 and is in foster care, please email us to arrange a meeting with Pratt.   Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $100 fee for any county animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. All cats must leave in a carrier.   Thank you for considering a homeless animal.January 1, 2026, 1:09 pm

Story
Edwyn is a Male Orange and White DSH Kitten Edwyn is a bit shy and would do best in a quiet home. Generally kitten season blossoms in June with approximately 60 in foster. By August and September, we peak with approximately 90 kittens. We have several dedicated volunteers who accept applications for kittens and try to match them up with foster kittens. We then set up meet and greets for fosters and families prior to the kittens being ready for adoption. All of our kittens are adopted after they are 3 months old AND they are spayed/neutered. All of the medical care and surgery expenses are covered by donations to Volunteers For Animals.  If you are interested in a kitten, we suggest you email us so that we can begin the process of matching for you. This is an involved process so please do not call the Shelter. Your email will be forwarded to our dedicated volunteers who will then send you details including an adoption application. You can Contact Us through the website to start the process. We are all volunteers and our dedicated kitten volunteers are diligent about responding to all inquiries. We appreciate your patience.   Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved.
