Story
FIP SURVIVOR ALERT! We know many people are familiar with Pringle's journey, but here is a recap if you are new here. Pringle's life has been riddled with bad luck, but he is a fighter! He lost his mom and siblings at 3 weeks of age due to an unknown illness/disease. At 5 weeks, he suffered a dog bite to his face (which was stitched up and healed well) when he escaped his quarantine room to look for a playmate. Then at 8 weeks his Feline Leukemia test showed faintly positive which resulted in a longer quarantine and more tests. At 4 months old, he was neutered and tested negative for FeLV. We were hopeful he could finally socialize with other cats and find a forever home. In the days following surgery, Pringle began rapidly declining and we were preparing for the worst. Tests ruled out several possibilities and he was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). We can happily report that he is officially declared FIP CURED following his one year blood work result after treatment. With so much bad in his life, there can only be good from here! Pringle is an adorable 1 year old boy. He is curious of the world around him and is often the first to explore a new object or room. Pringle loves to play with any dangly string--be it a shoelace or hoodie string! Even more enticing to him are moving feet and hands under a blanket. Pringle often prefers the companionship of humans over felines and does not have the best catiquette because he was isolated for so long due to his illnesses. He loves getting pets on his head and can be such a snuggle bug. Pringle has the tiniest meow when he greets his foster dad at the end of a long work day. Pringle gets a lot of kisses because we just can't resist his big, round eyes. He is also our favorite meme cat. We often create comparisons of his pictures because he is so photogenic and silly! Although Pringle is the most adorable and loving cat, Pringle has developed some cattitude because he was a single kitten for a very long time. He gets overstimulated easily by rowdy cats and people and can get mouthy when pushed to his limit. For this reason, we think the perfect home is a calm household with adults only who are cat savvy and understand his body language. Pringle is neutered, negative for FIV and FeLV, and updated on all his vaccines. If you think that you've got the perfect home for this wonderful boy, please email Lori at apcatrescue@gmail.com for an application today!

Story
Meet the overly friendly orange tabby boy is Otis. You couldn't ask for a sweeter, outgoing kitty! Otis was rescued from a neighborhood trying to survive outside. He must have been somebody's pet, he adjusts quickly to new people and places. He loves being petted and is happy to be held. Ultimately, all this handsome orange tabby wants is attention from people. Otis gets along well with the other kitties and is often seen rubbing up against them. He just wants to be everybody's friend. He is on the calmer side but does enjoy playtime. His foster mom says he is such a good boy and will be a great addition to any household. We consider Otis special needs because he tested positive for FIV. This is not Feline Leukemia, which he tested negative for. Because he has a very friendly disposition around other cats, he does not pose a risk to transmitting FIV and does not have to be an only cat. FIV is transmitted by deep bite wounds from an infected cat and is prevalent among intact male cats who are fighting for territory and mates. Because of this, if the positive cat is not aggressive toward other cats, it is safe for them to live in a multi-cat home. FIV has a very unfair stigma even within the vet & cat rescue community. We have many current resources on FIV which we'd be happy to refer you to and also many experiences with FIV+ cats. We are hopeful someone will have an open mind (or is already well informed about FIV!) and come to meet Otis. He won't let you down! Otis is about 2.5 years old ( as of 4/1/24), neutered, up to date on vaccinations, negative for FeLV but he is positive for FIV. Don't let that scare you though. Otis can live a normal life even with other cats. To meet the amazing Otis, please email Lori at apcatrescue@gmail.com

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs,
Story
Originally she was given to my uncle and aunt as a kitten but unfortunately a couple months later my aunt passed away. Shortly after my uncle said he couldn’t take care of her anymore so he asked my family if we could take her in and find her a new home. She’s been at our house for 3 months but we can’t keep her here any longer due to my brother’s allergies. I don’t think my uncle took her to the vet when she was a kitten to give her her shots. We didn’t take her to get her shots because we didn’t plan on keeping her. We just wanted to offer her a temporary home. She is about a year old. We already asked everyone that we know if they would like to take her but no one is able to. She is very sweet, loves company, and loves her scratchies. She tends to hide and becomes scared when she is around children. She loves to sit by the window and watch the birds outside. Strangely enough she likes to play with the faucet water when it’s running. I just want her to have a loving home ):

Story
Meet Holly! This sweet bunny endured the unthinkable in a testing lab until she was rescued recently but she didn't let that experience get her down. She is so trusting and a total lovebug! Holly wants nothing more than to be by your side. She's so happy to see her person that she honks and squeaks up a storm and then lays down right next to them. She adores her pets, especially scratches on her nose, and even nudges your hand when you stop. She has good potty manners and goes in her litter box with hay. She gently takes treats, which she loves almost as much as pets. There are house dogs that bark quite a bit but she's used to it and isn't bothered by them. She knows they're kept separate and can't harm her. If you're looking for a low-maintenance companion that will melt your heart this is your girl! LOCATION: LOS ANGELES, CA.
