Luckily, his finder scooped him up faster than you grab your morning coffee, and now Dunkin’s ready to brew up some fun in his forever home. At about 3–5 years old, he’s neutered, up to date on shots, and tested negative for leukemia and FIV. When he’s not busy showing off his playful moves, he’s plotting his next round of zoomies — because this guy’s energy could power a coffee shop! Nikko is an exceptionally handsome tabby boy with a big personality. He is a very friendly kitty who enjoys spending time with his people and seems to like dogs. Nikko thrives on being petted and is fine with being held. As with most kitties he enjoys playtime. Foil balls, catnip toys and the turbo scratcher are a few of his favorites. Nikko is a social boy who adjusts quickly to new people and places. Nikko tends to be a bit bossy with the other cats especially around meal time and lets them know by swatting at them. We feel he would be happiest as an only cat or with one other cat who will respect his space. We also feel he will do well with dogs with proper introduction. Nikko cannot wait to have a family to call his own! Nikko is about 2 years old, ( as of 3/1/25), neutered, up to date on vaccinations, negative for Felv and positive FIV.

Introducing Willow!❤️ This petite tabby girl with the over-the-back tail is Willow. We don't know much about what her life was like before being rescued, but we know that, even in loving foster homes, she started off as very scared and skittish. In her first foster home, her family couldn't get photos of her because she constantly hid and would run away if people approached her. Now in her second foster home, there have been some positive changes, but she will still be a challenge for an adoptive family.☺️ She is cute and playful, whether by herself or with other cats. She tries to be friends with other cats in her foster home, but doesn't have much confidence, even though the other cats set good examples of typical cat behavior. She lets her foster family pet her, and she seems to enjoy it; she keeps head-butting hands asking for more pets. However they still cannot pick her up so they continue to work on that. She has been coaxed daily for over a year to jump up on a lap and always looked interested but then ran away. Very recently, however, she jumped up on a lap for the first time. 😻 She finally seemed to understand that it is safe and comfortable. What a day to celebrate! 🙌🏽 There’s a video in the comments that shows her finally appreciating a lap. Otherwise, she is a typical, adorable little girl. She likes to watch birds and squirrels from a cat tree and plays with kickers that are bigger than she is. She carries around toy mice and races up and down stairs with the zoomies. She is looking for a home with experienced adopters who are willing to continue to work with her and help her build confidence. Her playful demeanor and adorable face will be a great reward for a new family. We think she would do well with another cat who is confident but laid back and not dominant. We do not recommend a home with small children, as Willow is still skittish and scared of movement toward her. Willow is about 1 year and 8 months old, spayed, up-to-date with vaccinations, and negative for FIV and FeLV.

Claudia Birthday-10/14/2024 Female Claudia is out on parole but would love to earn a full pardon and find a home of her own. Born on the grounds of a local penitentiary, Claudia was cared for by guards and inmates who hoped she would one day leave “the joint” to make a better life for herself. They spent time playing and socializing with Claudia to help her develop life skills needed on the outside. When our friends from PA Pets made arrangements to TNR some of the colony cats, it was clear this friendly older kitten had done time enough! At first glance, Claudia seems to wear drab brown tiger prison stripes, but check out the unique leopard spots on her belly. She is a bit of an exotic cat! She is graceful and lithe, able to easily scale the highest cat trees. Claudia, once she checks you out, will quickly befriend you. She chirps happily seeking your attention. A little head scratch or belly rub and Claudia will purr her approval. While Claudia craves affection she will also happily self entertain with toys of any type. She’s appreciative of the small good things in life that were in short supply where she came from. Could you be the one to help Claudia make her big break? Ruby & Rio Birthday 9/6/2024 Female/Male The only thing Ruby and Rio don’t have is a home. They are always a hit in our “Juvi” room at Cats in Bloom as they leap and pirouette for toys or joyfully chase one another . As the day winds down, one is likely to find them curled up together-or at least within a paws length, as they settle in for the night. Their tails twitch, however, when they dream about a family with playful children or being cuddled next to a person of their own. (One on each side of course!) Ruby and Rio were rescued with their sister Roni as cold winter weather set in. After Roni was adopted, their sibling bond seemed to grow even stronger. Playful and curious, they would make entertaining family companions, but their appeal goes beyond this. Ruby and Rio are tolerant older kittens-easygoing and affectionate, true to their orange tabby heritage. They are such an appealing combination of fun loving and full of loving! 💕 Ruby and Rio seem to have it all, but they still don’t have a home. Maybe you could be the person who changes that!

Greta Birthday 9/18/2022 Female Today is an anniversary, but not one Greta celebrates. Two years ago (5/28/2023), Greta and her sister Ava came to Cats in Bloom as shy older kittens. Today Greta is the longest resident at our cat cafe-still yearning for a home of her own. If you’ve ever been one of the last picked for a team or watched from the sidelines as others danced or played, maybe you understand. Some question the feelings of animals, but we believe differently. Greta hasn’t given up, but watching so many of her friends leave in carriers with their excited families, takes its toll. Sometimes Greta seems resigned to charming people from her favorite window perches, but never from a home. Greta is an “ordinary” brown tabby but look deeper, and you will see a special soul. While reserved in nature, Greta has made so much progress over the past two years. She tends to pick her people-often times those who have a sensitivity that matches her own. We watched in awe one busy Saturday as Greta purred and melted under the touch of a young boy who sat by her side-both oblivious to the clamor about them. Greta gets along beautifully with other cats and watches dogs with nonchalant interest. A calm, quieter household, however, would suit her best. We hope Greta soon finds a special person or family willing to give her a chance. Someone who roots for the underdog. In the meantime, she patiently waits…
