Meet Marina!Marina came into the shelter January 6th from another rescue. Marina loves now people; she will jump into your arms for a hug. She has done well with kids and seems curious about dogs, we think with a slow interdiction she may be ok in a home with a dog who also likes cats. Marina is still very young so she has a lot of kitten energy, she loves to play! She enjoys balls with bells, springs and stuffed animals. The staff says they love her goofy personality and how cuddly she is once she gets her kitten energy out. Meet Poe!Poe came into the shelter January 6th from another rescue. He came in with his “brother” Lucien. We were told that the original owner had to surrender them both due to their living arrangements changing and not being able to keep them any longer. Poe is a little shy at first but, does warm up and does not turn down a good pet sesh. He does not seem to be a fan of dogs but, he might be ok in a home with a dog that ignores him. He is great with other cats especially calm cats like his buddy Lucien. Poe is very quiet and lazy, his favorite activity is no activity, give this guy a nice bed or a couch and he is good to go. We all love Buddha. He`s a shelter favorite. Buddha is an older cat who is FIV+. He`s spent 3 years in the shelter now, during which time he has charmed us all. He`s a big, smart, confident cat who clearly lived on the streets a long time.He`s the type of cat that likes being petted-until he doesn`t anymore. He doesn`t like dogs, especially big males (most likely from bad experiences in his past) but if you introduce him nicely to one, train either animal to respect boundaries, and use patience in monitoring Buddha with a dog, then he is good and lets them be.This rugged beast is picky about his cat friends and loves to be super affectionate so being the only pet is his ideal home, so this little gargoyle gets all the attention.Buddha loves his people, but you`ll have to put up with the occasional love bite. He really has a personality and is not a wallflower.
