Story
Mia doesn’t just want attention — she wants a relationship. Sit down, and she’ll come near. Offer a hand, and she melts into your touch. She has that soft, good-natured temperament that makes bonding feel easy and natural. The more time you give her, the more she blossoms. She does wonderfully with children and gets along well with other friendly cats. She hasn’t been introduced to dogs yet, but with a slow, thoughtful introduction, she may adjust beautifully. Her personality is steady, kind, and open — a lovely foundation for almost any loving home. Mia is playful in a sweet, kittenish way without being overwhelming. She’s affectionate without being pushy. She’s the type of companion who will follow you from room to room, settle beside you in the evenings, and very likely test out that lap more and more as she gains confidence. In a sea of kittens, Mia stands out for her softness — her temperament, her gaze, her way of choosing you. If you’re looking for a young cat with true companionship potential and the makings of a devoted cuddle partner, Mia is ready to grow into that role in her forever home. Mia is an indoor-only kitty and will thrive in a safe, loving home where she can continue building her special bond with her people. She is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and FeLV/FIV negative — completely ready for her forever family. Mia’s adoption fee is $125, and every dollar directly supports the lifesaving mission of Hill County Paw Pals, a dedicated, volunteer-run rescue. Adoption fees help provide veterinary care, vaccinations, microchipping, food, foster care, and the socialization that helps kittens like Mia grow into confident companions. To be considered for adoption and to schedule a meet and greet with sweet Mia, please complete an adoption application at https://hcpawpals.org/cat-adoption-form/ ** Veterinary references and, in some cases, home checks are part of our adoption process. Paw Pals maintains a firm no-declaw policy, and all cats are placed in loving, indoor-only homes where they can stay safe, healthy, and happy. Paw Pals will consider adoptions outside our immediate area, but we require in-person pick-up to ensure every match begins with a meaningful connection.

Story
Jax is a funny playful guy. He is well loved by everyone in our family, except our dog. Jax would enjoy playing with the dog, but our dog becomes irritable and aggressive toward the cat. For Jax’s safety, we have decided that it is necessary to find him a home. I would call Jax a proximity cat, he will not curl up in your lap, but he does want to stay close to where you are at all times. He is sweet and friendly and likes to be scratched on the chin. He has good litter box manners.

Story
Amy is a very sweet snowshoe girl with a beautiful marbled coat. She has belonged to a young girl since she was a kitten and now the girl has gone away to college and her father has to rehome Amy because she has no caretaker now. She will be scared at first but her nature is to be loving and hang out with her owner so she will be just fine if someone wants to take it slow and give her alittle time to adjust to a new home. Her adoption fee is only $50. She is spayed, plus all dewormers and vaccinations and she is also microchipped. And she is so much prettier in person. We don't know how she would be around other cats because she was always the only cat in the house. She wasn't too crazy about the dog, but he was very big and very active. She might do just fine with a small dog. Contact us by text to schedule an appt to meet her. 214-949-2247

Story
Gia — Devoted, People-Focused Tuxedo Companion Meet Gia, a beautiful 1-year-old tuxedo girl with a striking black-and-white coat and an unforgettable heart. Gia is not a distant or independent cat — she’s a true companion. From the moment you meet her, she chooses you. She follows you, settles beside you, leans into pets, and quietly shares your space as if that’s exactly where she was always meant to be. Her favorite activity isn’t toys… it’s you. Gia thrives on closeness and connection. She happily curls up next to you, notices when you enter a room, and gently asks for affection. She has a calm, soulful presence and a steady, comforting way of being with her person — never pushy, just devoted. If you’ve ever wanted a cat who truly bonds and becomes part of your daily life, Gia is that cat. You may notice a tiny freckle on one eye (called a Florida spot). It’s completely harmless and doesn’t affect her vision — just one more thing that makes her unique. Gia will do best as the only pet in a peaceful home where she can fully relax and give her whole heart to her person. She does well with children, but she especially wants someone who enjoys a close, affectionate companion — a retiree, work-from-home household, or anyone wanting a cat who is emotionally present and loving. In the right home, Gia blossoms into a deeply loyal, comforting friend. Health & Adoption Details Spayed Vaccinated Microchipped FeLV/FIV negative Fully litter-box trained Gia isn’t just a pet — she’s the kind of cat who makes a house feel like home. Her adoption fee is $150. By choosing adoption through Hill County Paw Pals, you’re doing far more than welcoming a wonderful companion into your home — you’re helping save lives. Paw Pals is a volunteer-driven rescue dedicated to protecting homeless, abandoned, and at-risk animals through rescue, medical care, foster placement, and thoughtful matchmaking. Every adoption directly supports this mission, allowing Paw Pals to continue giving vulnerable animals the second chances they deserve. When you adopt Gia, you’re not only changing her life — you’re making it possible for another life to be saved, too. If you’re looking for a cat who offers calm affection, emotional comfort, and a warm lap to come home to, Gia may be the quiet soul you’ve been waiting for. Story
Meet Lulu — a cat for someone who truly “gets” cats. Lulu is a striking black-and-white harlequin girl with a calm, observant personality and a confident presence. She isn’t needy or chaotic — she’s thoughtful, aware, and happiest in a peaceful home where life is predictable and respectful. Lulu must be the only pet. She becomes stressed around other animals and needs a single-pet household to feel secure and relaxed. For that reason, she’s also best suited to a quiet, adult-only home. She forms a strong bond with her person, but on her own terms. Lulu is not a lap cat or a constant cuddler — instead, she prefers to share your space, follow routines, and quietly keep you company. When she trusts you, she’s deeply loyal and comforting to have nearby. She communicates clearly and appreciates someone who understands feline body language and gives her space when she asks for it. Lulu is 2.5 years old and would thrive with an experienced cat owner who enjoys a companion with independence and personality. Respect her boundaries, and she will reward you with steady companionship and a genuine connection that feels earned. If you’ve ever said, “I like cats because they’re not dogs,” Lulu might be your perfect match. Apply today at https://hcpawpals.org/cat-adoption-form/ and see if Lulu is meant to be your one and only. ** Veterinary references and, in some cases, home checks are part of our adoption process. Story
Twylite has been overlooked more than once — and if we’re being honest, it may be because of something as small as her slightly mismatched tuxedo markings. But spend five quiet minutes with her, and you’ll understand. Twylite is not the cat who demands attention from across the room. She doesn’t perform. She doesn’t compete. Instead, she gently leans in… and suddenly you realize you’ve gained a shadow. A steady presence. A soft, affectionate companion who simply wants to share life beside you. At two years old, Twylite brings the gift of maturity. She already knows how to be a wonderful roommate. She settles beautifully into routine, watches her person thoughtfully, and thrives on gentle pets, brushing sessions (her absolute favorite), and quiet conversation. She is a people-driven cat — connection means more to her than toys or chaos. And she does not come alone. Twylite is deeply bonded with Harlee, and the two share a quiet, beautiful friendship. They comfort one another, groom one another, and move through the world as a pair. Watching them together is something special — it’s calm, steady companionship at its finest. Because of this bond, they must be adopted together. In a calm home where her signals are respected, Twylite blossoms. Occasionally, she may give a soft “that’s enough” reminder if petting goes on too long — simply her gentle way of communicating. In a secure, understanding environment, this continues to soften as trust grows. Together, Twylite and Harlee are looking for a quiet, indoor-only forever home. They are not outdoor cats. They feel safest inside, where their world is steady and protected. Older, respectful children would likely be just fine. Both are spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, FeLV/FIV negative, healthy, and perfectly litter-trained. These girls aren’t looking for a temporary stop. They are waiting for their person — someone who understands that the most meaningful companions are often the quiet ones who stay close, fill a room with comfort, and make everyday life softer just by being there. If you’re hoping for double the companionship and a calm, loving presence in your home, Twylite and Harlee may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. Their adoption fee of $200 (for the pair) helps support the lifesaving work of Hill County Paw Pals, an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue dedicated to saving cats and dogs throughout Central Texas. Adoption fees go directly toward veterinary care, spay/neuter services, foster placement, and rescuing the next animal in need. Please complete an adoption application at https://hcpawpals.org/cat-adoption-form/ to schedule a meet-and-greet with Twylite and Harlee. ** Veterinary references and, in some cases, home checks are part of our adoption process.
