SHY CAT SPECIAL - from now through Valentine's Day 2026, invite a SHY CAT home for just $20! Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing the Chips Kittens These resilient little survivors came to us from a large feral colony where we conducted a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) project. While they weren't quite feral enough to be returned to outdoor life, they also needed some extra time and love to become fully socialized. Thanks to the dedication of our amazing staff and volunteers, these sweet but slightly shy kittens have made incredible progress and are now ready to find loving homes! Shortly after their rescue, the Chips kittens faced a big challenge — they were diagnosed with Feline Panleukopenia (the feline version of parvo). With round-the-clock care and lots of TLC, every single one of them pulled through — a true miracle! Today, they are happy, playful, and thriving. The only lasting effect is a bit of food sensitivity, which is easily managed with Royal Canin’s special gastrointestinal formula — and they’re doing great on it! If you're looking to adopt a kitten with a heartwarming rescue story and a whole lot of love to give, one of the Chips crew might just be your perfect match. Fritos, a short haired tabby and white boy born 3/20/25, is more laid back and confident than many of his buddies, though he would still prefer to avoid keggers and toddler birthday parties. He's not yet a big fan of being picked up, but petting is A-OK if you're respectful! Here is more information on adopting a shy cat: https://anticruelty.org/pet-library/adopting-shy-cat We give shy cats an extended 60-day trial adoption period, to give you extra time to bond. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Fritos SHY CAT SPECIAL is a suggested minimum of $20 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/applicationPlease do not call the shelter; do the application first. Brie (female, orange tabby with some dark spots on her nose, tipped ear, shorter kinked tail), Colby (male, buff tabby, tipped ear, curly tail), and Camembert (female, orange tabby with tiny white spot on throat, full ear, normal tail) were born about 5/30/25, and came in as part of a feral colony on which we were doing Trap-Neuter-Return. This trio transferred into our adoption program because, although they are shy, they are not mean like actual feral cats, AND their orange coloring makes them unsuitable for life back with the colony (orange and light colored cats in our area are, unfortunately, easy prey for our coyotes, eagles, and owls). They have been coming along nicely with their socialization, though will still need calm, patient families who are willing to give them time to blossom at their own pace. As you can see in the video, they are VERY treat motivated, and we'll send them out with some "starter Churus" to help you begin the bonding process. Colby is the bravest, while the girls both retain more of the "stranger danger" instincts. Camembert enjoys the laser pointer most. Story
MEET LOUIE AND LESTER! Life was perilous for these green-eyed brothers, born to a cat who had been abandoned at a trailer park. Thankfully, residents Jeremy and Meagan took it upon themselves to help trap the strays that were piling up in the park. Their happy ending will come when their very own family comes to take them home! Louie, who has more white, and Lester are about a year and a half old. They've been neutered, wormed, vaccinated and are very good boys with their litter box. They get along great with other cats, preferring to avoid any drama at the shelter. If there's any trouble, they're never the instigators! Unfortunately, their ears were tipped when they went to the clinic to be neutered. They had just been trapped, and we weren't sure at that point if they'd be adoptable. Happily, they decided our intentions were honorable after all, once they spent some time decompressing in the bathroom where they couldn't avoid out attentions. Because of their difficult start in life, they are a bit shy with new people and will need some time and understanding while they adjust to their new home; something they've never had before. A calm adult home or one with older kids would probably be the best fit for them. These sweet, lovable boys will reward you many times over for your efforts! If you're the person this band of brothers has been waiting for all their lives, please fill out an adoption application on our website using this link: https://pawsitiveoutreach.org/adoption-application or call Gina at (480)779-9208. The $80 adoption fee for the pair will make these handsome devils yours, all yours!

INTRODUCING SEAN AND SERENA! Our little sweethearts are from Cusick, where there are undoubtedly more stray cats than people. Sue has taken it upon herself to catch as many as she can, and we're getting them altered and finding good homes for them. Teamwork! Sean, the smaller brown tabby and white boy is about 2 months old and Serena, the somewhat bigger brown tabby, is about 3 months old. They've been spayed/neutered, wormed, had their first kitten shots and are good kitties with their litter box. They get along great with other cats and we think will do just fine with cat friendly canines too, given some time to get to know them. Serena's name fits her perfectly, she's calm, sweet and easy going. her favorite thing is sitting in your lap for a nice long cuddle while she purrs her contentment. Sean is also a pretty calm fellow for a kitten, and also enjoys snuggle time with his special humans. A very chill pair of kittens! To meet them, please fill out an adoption application on our website using this link: https://pawsitiveoutreach.org/adoption-application or call Gina at (480)779-9208. Take this lovable pair home forever for $130. You'll be very glad you did!

INTRODUCING MICHAEL AND JASON! all treats and no tricks: Sweethearts Alert! 🎃 Born outside, these brothers had had no human contact before being rescued. What lucky boys to have our amazing fosters, Becca and her daughter Faith, to show them how pleasant a warm home, with people to love them, could be. Who knew? Now that they're assured that members of our species can be very nice to have around, they're ready and waiting for a forever home of their very own! Get ready for a howling good time with Michael and Jason, two adorable 4-month-old kittens, just in time for Halloween! They've been neutered, wormed, had their first kitten shots and are very good boys with their litter box. They're being fostered with dogs and other cats and get along with everyone wonderfully too. These little monsters are a dynamic duo, filled with energy and love. They're the perfect pair to add endless fun and sweetness to your life! Michael, the handsome brown tabby, has a unique quirk - he must be part sparrow because he LOVES to chirp! It's the cutest thing you'll ever hear. His little motor is always running, and he's guaranteed to keep you entertained with his adorable chirps and playful antics. Jason, the gray tabby, is just as sweet and playful, as his brother. He is more of a climber and loves tackling the highest peaks, all the better for a cat's eye view of his fascinating new world. When he's not climbing, he'll happily snuggle in your lap for hours while he doses off. These little bundles of joy have motors running 24/7, and they're most favorite thing in the whole world is cuddling in your lap for hours, purring contentedly. They're expert climbers, too, and will scale any height to reach you. Whether they're curling up in your lap or perched on your shoulder, they'll make sure you're always surrounded by their love and adoration. Don't miss out on the chance to adopt these sweethearts!
