Story
Skipper is a mellow cat with some tendencies to play, run around, play fight, and do typical cat things. The owner is my mom who has stage 4 cancer and can no longer properly care for the cat. I can't have a cat where I live so I'm hoping to find a better place for him to live. He is currently an indoor cat but has had outdoor privileges in the past. He's a little overfed and overweight. He's not lived with other cats before.

Story
We adopted Pasha as a 7-week-old kitten, born on July 29, 2023, to a rescued stray. We love her deeply and provide her with a safe, gentle, and well-cared-for home. However, her aggression started when she attacked a 7-year-old guest who didn't even touch her. Since then, she has launched severe, unpredictable attacks on us—leaving us bleeding and forced to hide for hours until she calms down. For our safety, Pasha has spent most of the past 1.5 years isolated in a separate room. Despite trying everything—multiple vets, breeders, cat behaviorists, socialization, and even attempting to return her to her original foster home—nothing has worked.

Story
***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved adopter on our 8/29/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement part of our distance adoption program.*** Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Hotdog This lucky boy, born about 4/19/26, originally was destined for a less-than-cushy working life as a barn kitty... but somewhere along the way, he let us know he would much prefer to be someone's adored family member, and who are we to say no to such a sweet plea. While Hotdog may be very slightly shy with strangers, once he knows you, he is a total love! He gets along fine with other cats, and is young enough he should be able to adapt to polite cat-friendly dogs with a slow introduction. He would prefer to avoid screaming toddler parties, but gentle children with soft voices who love to curl up and read with a kitty would be OK for Hotdog. We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies." All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Hotdog is a suggested minimum of $70 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Meet Tink, a beautiful and incredibly sweet lady who is looking for her perfect forever home! This wonderful girl came to us during a very busy chapter of her life—she was pregnant and dealing with an injured eye that the vet ultimately decided was best to remove. Through it all, Tink has been a total trooper, and losing the eye hasn't slowed her down or dampened her spirits one bit. Tink is a massive fan of human attention and loves nothing more than soaking up all the affection you can give her. When she is not busy being a professional cuddler, she transforms into a total goofball who loves playing with wand toys. Watching her hunt and pounce with her unique perspective is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Tink knows she is the only pet any home needs, and would prefer to not share her space with another indoor cat (she is, honestly, a bit of a bully with other cats), or a (shudder) DOG. She promises to fill every one of your pet-needs without batting, well, an eye. Because of her limited vision, Tink needs to be a strictly indoor cat. She is more than happy to trade the outdoor elements for a cozy windowsill, a warm lap, and a lifetime of indoor adventures. If you are looking for a fun, loving, and resilient companion to brighten up your world, Tink is ready to fill your heart with joy! All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Tink is a suggested minimum of $60 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you!
