Story
Hello! My name is Ranya, and here is a little info about me:Breed: Border Collie mixedAge: 3 years oldGender: FemaleWeight: 22 kgCountry of origin: LebanonHighlight(s): Gentle, loving, calm, and endlessly affectionate I’m Ranya — a soft-hearted girl with the sweetest eyes and an even sweeter soul. I love cuddles, treats, and being close to people who care about me. I was found in a remote area, all alone but still clean and calm. No one knew where I came from, and I couldn’t tell my story, but it was clear I once had someone who loved me — until suddenly, they didn’t. Even then, I never gave up. I still wagged my tail, approached people with trust, and hoped someone kind would find me. Luckily, my rescuer found me just in time before the cold nights left me hungry and weak. I’m friendly, affectionate, playful, gentle, and social. I adore people, dogs, and kids alike. I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by love — cuddles and treats make my day! I’d love a warm, caring home with people who enjoy affection as much as I do. A family or individual who can include me in their daily life and give me the love and comfort I’ve always longed for would be perfect. Training: Basic — I’m eager to learn and respond well to kindness and positive reinforcement.Leash skills: Some — please be ready to continue helping me practice.House trained: Not yet — please guide me patiently as I learn where to go in my new home. Health notes: In good health. I have been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2553684##

Story
Hallooo world. My name is HONNI (Honey), how do you do? Here is a bit of info about me:Breed: Australian Shepard/Canaan dog mixAge: 3 yrs Gender: FemaleWeight: 20 kgHeight: tbdCountry of origin: LebanonHighlights: Loyal, Intelligent, Affectionate, Calm, Independent I am a faithful & chilled out girl, awaiting a family to adore and in which to bring joy. And don't you just love my unique markings?Rescuers heard me screaming and followed the sound. When they got closer, they saw a man hitting me with a wooden stick. I was crying out, desperate for help. My rescuers would not walk away from this ghastly cruel scene. Without hesitation, they came in and took me. People in the area were telling the man to either poison me or put me in a bag and throw me on the highway. Sadly, these are the horrors in my country.I had been through so much and I was terrified, but I somehow knew they were there to save me. Being I wS wearing a collar, showed I once had a home, but likely was abandoned. Life on the street was just as harsh, as my previous family.Despite everything though, I remain a sweet and friendly pup, so they named me Honey. You'll find me quite the intelligent pupper, as well as affectionate. I tend toward the calm and can be independent, so I should be able to entertain myself when you are busy. I hear something called a kong toy stuffed with peanut butter is a good distraction. SMILE. Some confidence building exercises should be included in my training regimen.Hoping we can enjoy some cuddles and adventures together. I await your calling my name.
