⭐ Meet Star ⭐ Star is an approximately 2-year-old Border Collie who found her way to us after an unfortunate surrender. In her previous home, Star had a litter of puppies. As they grew older, she became more firm in her corrections with them, and her family ultimately felt it was in everyone’s best interest for Star to find a new home where she could truly thrive. And thrive she deserves to do — because Star is a fantastic dog. Star is affectionate, playful, and absolutely loves attention. She wants to be by her person’s side whenever possible, whether that means curling up for couch cuddles, happily chasing after toys, or just being part of whatever you’re doing. She’s loyal, loving, and has that wonderful Border Collie devotion that makes her such a special companion. We were told that Star is house trained and crate trained, does well riding in the car, and walks nicely on a leash — making her an easy addition to the right home. Here at the shelter, Star has been around other dogs. While she hasn’t shown any intent to harm anyone, she is sensitive about her personal space and communicates clearly when she’d like other dogs to respect her bubble. Because of this, she would do best with an experienced owner who understands canine communication and can advocate for her boundaries — or potentially as an only dog where she can soak up all the love. Star is an all-around good girl who deserves a home that recognizes her for the incredible dog she is. With the right match, she’ll make a deeply devoted, loving companion. 💛
