Becky was an owner surrender to a local shelter in Costa Rica. His dog had an unplanned litter and he didn't want the puppies. The rescue is planning on helping to sterilize Mom so no more unwanted dogs. Becky is 8 months old, 35 lbs, hound mix, female, very calm and sweet. She is sterilized, utd vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, Snap 4dx tested, and comes with a vet Health Certificate. If interested, please email dcdgavel@gmail.com for an adoption application.

Luann was surrendered along with her sister Becky to a shelter in Costa Rica. The owner didn't want her and stated it was an "oops" litter. He thrives on learning new things and is a quick learner—definitely a smart cookie! Bairn is reactive to new people, other dogs, and some vehicles, so he will need to be walked with a muzzle as a precaution. However, his reactivity can be managed with consistent training, energy-draining activities, keeping a safe distance from triggers, and positive reinforcement for good behavior. When his mind is engaged and his energy is properly channeled, Bairn is much more balanced and in control. This wonderful boy will need a dedicated owner who is committed to continuing his training and giving him the structure he needs. While Bairn may not be immediately friendly with new people, he just needs time and slow, controlled introductions to build trust. Once he bonds with you, he’ll show you his goofy, lovable side. Bairn is looking for a home with a fully fenced yard, where he can thrive in a calm and structured environment. He would do best in a home without small children or other dogs. With patience and understanding, Bairn will prove to be the best companion you could ask for!

Oakley is a sweet, very well-behaved, curious young girl. She loves people, and bonds strongly with her person. She is very calm for her age. She can amuse herself very well by playing with stuffies, chew toys, and relaxing on her bed. She also loves to be wherever her people are. She is a total cuddle bug who loves to lie next to you, and on you! She gives tons of kisses and has amazing eye-contact with her gorgeous light brown eyes. She knows her name and will come when called. She knows several commands, and learns quickly. Oakley loves walks, going to the dog park, and sniffing around the backyard. She has adjusted to being on a leash, and usually only pulls when she sees a small animal. She eats and sleeps well, enjoys being brushed, and is completely house-trained. Shes friendly and gentle when meeting new people, including children, and other dogs. She would love a forever home where she can give and receive tons of love!
