Story
Duke is a sweet, loving 9-year-old German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix who has been with our family his whole life. He’s been gentle and patient with our two young kids (now 4 and 2) and is a super chill, affectionate boy. He loves pets and attention, follows you for cuddles, and only whines when he wants more love. He’s a bit of a yapper when excited or visitors arrive, but settles quickly. He eats anything (especially loves meat) and is healthy

Story
With an incredibly heavy heart, I am looking to rehome my beloved dog, Sergeant.Due to a serious health condition that was discovered during complications surrounding the birth of my baby, my life and physical abilities have changed in ways I never could have anticipated. Between managing my health and caring for a newborn, I have been forced to face the heartbreaking reality that I can no longer provide Sergeant with the active, attentive lifestyle he deserves. This decision is absolutely devastating for me. Sergeant is not “just a dog” — he is my companion, my best friend, and a dog I have dedicated so much time, love, and focused training into raising. He is exceptionally well-trained, deeply loved, and accustomed to thoughtful, attentive care.He thrives with:
• Long daily walks and companionship
• Consistent grooming and regular brushing
• Ear cleaning and nail trims
• A healthy, carefully managed diet
• Love, structure, and engagement
• Regular outings and adventures

Story
Cosmo / Male / 3 Years / 74lbs / Australian Shepherd/Labrador / Dog Selective / Good with Older Children/ Untested with Cats / Fostered in Milton ** Follow Cosmo's journey on Instagram: @theadorableadoptablecosmo* Cosmo is a striking, intelligent Shepherd-mix with a deeply sensitive and thoughtful nature. In a calm, predictable environment, he is affectionate, playful, and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. When he feels safe, Cosmo's silly side comes out. During meal time he'll wiggle his bum and talk excitedly until he gets the 'okay!' to eat. He thinks tug is the best game in the whole world and will happily show you his toys and let you know when it's time for play. He enjoys relaxing near his humans, spending time on the couch or nearby on the floor, and engaging with enrichment that allows him to decompress and settle. He loves snuggle time with his trusted humans and believes deeply in 'if I fits I sits'. Cosmo thrives with routine, clarity, and low-pressure interactions. He responds best when given space and choice, and he shows excellent potential when his nervous system is supported. He loves food-based enrichment, stuffed toys, sniffing activities, and long-lasting chews, all of which help him regulate and feel secure. Inside the home, he is calm, house-trained, and not destructive when his needs are met. Cosmo can become overwhelmed in busy or unpredictable environments. He is sensitive to excessive noise, movements, unfamiliar visitors, and close proximity to other dogs, and he benefits from thoughtful management that reduces trigger stacking. He does best with calm, respectful dogs when given adequate space and has shown the ability to self-regulate during structured, low-pressure social experiences. Cosmo is not suited to a home with young children, as fast movement and unpredictability increase his anxiety. Cosmo has worked with professional behavioural support and responds best to force-free handling, long-line walks in quiet natural settings, and environments that prioritize emotional safety over exposure. With consistency and continued support, he demonstrates curiosity, connection, and the ability to build confidence at a steady pace. Cosmo is looking for an experienced, patient home that understands sensitive dogs and values calm, predictable routines. His ideal home would be a quiet household — ideally rural or semi-rural — with access to safe outdoor space where he can decompress without frequent triggers. He would do best with minimal visitors and guardians who are committed to continuing his confidence-building, low-pressure lifestyle. Cosmo may thrive as an only dog or with a calm, well-matched canine companion following careful introductions. In the right environment, Cosmo is a deeply loyal and gentle companion — a dog who finds joy in quiet moments, meaningful connection, and the comfort of being truly understood. If you’re interested in adopting Cosmo, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form. Cosmo’s adoption fee is $850. Story
Hello! My name is Pippin!I`m a sensitive guy who doesn`t enjoy loud noises or chaotic environments. But when I am relaxing with my foster parents and foster-dog brother, I`m a happy, playful, silly guy who likes to roll around on the carpet, grass, or snow! Whatever scratches my back! I sometimes bark when seeing dogs on leash but with all the amazing support from my foster humans, I`m making really great progress! I`m an affectionate guy who likes to snuggle in bed with my people. I have been blossoming and gaining confidence in my foster home which means that while I used to be nervous of strangers, I`m starting to see that they are actually not that scary! With a family that has a quiet home, a bit of patience, and is looking for a sweet, lovable boy, I will be a great match!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: I`m looking for an adult-only home given my sensitive nature.OTHER DOGS: Yes, with a respectful, calm dog. I am more about peaceful co-existing rather than playing.CATS: Potentially, with a cat experienced living with dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: I`m looking for someone who has previous dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Required unless rural.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any with yard.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: No, I do very well left alone!SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I would make a good match for your home, click the “Adopt Me” button to apply!

Story
Meet Bairn, an energetic and enthusiastic dog in search of an active, confident owner. Bairn has a zest for life and loves to stay busy, whether it’s going for runs, long walks, swimming, or cuddling with his favorite people. He thrives on learning new things and is a quick learner—definitely a smart cookie! Bairn is reactive to new people, other dogs, and some vehicles, so he will need to be walked with a muzzle as a precaution. However, his reactivity can be managed with consistent training, energy-draining activities, keeping a safe distance from triggers, and positive reinforcement for good behavior. When his mind is engaged and his energy is properly channeled, Bairn is much more balanced and in control. This wonderful boy will need a dedicated owner who is committed to continuing his training and giving him the structure he needs. While Bairn may not be immediately friendly with new people, he just needs time and slow, controlled introductions to build trust. Once he bonds with you, he’ll show you his goofy, lovable side. Bairn is looking for a home with a fully fenced yard, where he can thrive in a calm and structured environment. He would do best in a home without small children or other dogs. With patience and understanding, Bairn will prove to be the best companion you could ask for!
