Story
Cosmo / Male / 3 Years / 74lbs / Australian Shepherd/Labrador / Dog Selective / Good with Older Children/ Untested with Cats / Fostered in Milton ** Follow Cosmo's journey on Instagram: @theadorableadoptablecosmo* Cosmo is a striking, intelligent Shepherd-mix with a deeply sensitive and thoughtful nature. In a calm, predictable environment, he is affectionate, playful, and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. When he feels safe, Cosmo's silly side comes out. During meal time he'll wiggle his bum and talk excitedly until he gets the 'okay!' to eat. He thinks tug is the best game in the whole world and, when it's time to play, he'll toss himself around like a monkey until he gets your attention. When you're petting him, if it's not time to be finished he'll give you a gentle tap to keep going. He enjoys relaxing near his humans, spending time on the couch or nearby on the floor, and entertaining himself with enrichment activities. He loves snuggle time with his trusted humans and believes deeply in 'if I fits I sits'. Cosmo thrives with routine, clarity, and low-pressure interactions. He does best when given space and choice, and he shows excellent potential when his nervous system is supported. He loves food-based enrichment, stuffed toys, sniffing activities, and long-lasting chews. Cosmo is house-trained and not destructive when his needs are met. Cosmo can become overwhelmed in busy or unpredictable environments. He is sensitive to excessive noise, movements, unfamiliar visitors, and close proximity to other dogs, and he benefits from thoughtful management that reduces trigger stacking. He does best with calm, respectful dogs when given adequate space and has shown the ability to self-regulate during structured, low-pressure social experiences. Cosmo isn't suited to a home with young children because their zoomies can make him anxious. Cosmo has worked with professional behavioural support and responds best to force-free handling, long-line walks in quiet natural settings, and environments that prioritize emotional safety over exposure. With consistency and continued support, he demonstrates curiosity, connection, and the ability to build confidence at a steady pace. Cosmo is looking for an experienced, patient home that understands sensitive dogs and values calm, predictable routines. His ideal home would be a quiet household — ideally rural or semi-rural — with access to safe outdoor space where he can decompress without frequent triggers. He would do best with minimal visitors and guardians who are committed to continuing his confidence-building, low-pressure lifestyle. Cosmo may thrive as an only dog or with a calm, well-matched canine companion following careful introductions. In the right environment, Cosmo is a deeply loyal and gentle companion — a dog who finds joy in quiet moments, meaningful connection, and the comfort of being truly understood. Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Hachi Age: About 6 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Border Collie – Australian Shepherd Mix Color: White and Brown Weight: 22kg / 48.5lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was in a place where dogs were bred without care or kindness. The world around me was small, and life was more about getting through each day than enjoying it. Then one day, everything changed. I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility and given the chance to leave that life behind. Since then, I've been discovering things that once felt unfamiliar—gentle hands, comfortable places to rest, and people who care about how I feel. With each passing day, I grow a little more confident, a little more curious, and a lot more ready to share my sweet side with the world.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m the kind of dog who likes to keep an eye on everything around me. With my bright mind and calm nature, I tend to take in a situation before deciding what to do. People often notice my striking looks first, but it doesn’t take long for them to discover that I’m just as sweet as I am handsome. I genuinely enjoy being around people and love spending time with my humans. I’m gentle, affectionate, and easy to befriend. Since I’m a smart boy who enjoys treats, I pick up on routines and training quickly. I already know some basic commands, and learning new things together sounds like a pretty fun way to spend time. Life feels best when I’m near my people, whether we’re out exploring or simply enjoying a quiet day together. I’m the kind of companion who brings both intelligence and warmth wherever I go.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when meeting someone for the first time, but a tasty treat is usually all it takes for me to warm up and start feeling comfortable. Once I get to know you, I’m happy to accept gentle pets and enjoy your company. I’m comfortable being picked up with support under my belly, and while I haven’t had the opportunity to meet children under 13 yet, I continue to gain confidence through new experiences. · With Dogs: When I meet a new dog, I’m usually happy to approach and exchange a polite greeting before moving on. I tend to be fairly independent and don’t show much interest in playing or spending time with other dogs. While I’m generally calm around dog companions, I may respond if another dog is overly pushy or confrontational, so thoughtful introductions with unfamiliar dogs would be recommended. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy getting outside for walks and adventures, but I’m not a dog who needs constant activity to be happy. Once I’ve had a chance to explore and stretch my legs, I’m usually content to relax and enjoy some quiet time. I’m a pleasant walking companion who has plenty of leash experience, follows my person well, and walks without much pulling.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m comfortable sharing food with people and don’t mind having them around while I eat. Around other dogs, though, I prefer a little personal space at mealtime and may let them know if they come too close. I can be a bit vocal when I’m hoping for something I want I settle nicely in a kennel I have good house habits, using both indoor pads and going outside for bathroom breaks. I may be tempted to do a little marking when I arrive somewhere new and unfamiliar. With a consistent routine and guidance, I usually settle in and adjust to my surroundings as I become more comfortable.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES    HACHI'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2755801##

Meet Karma who 9 Years Young Being fostered in the Grafton, ON area Karma is a gentle, low-energy boy who truly lives up to his name. At 9 years old, he is the definition of a perfect houseguest. He is calm, respectful, and easy to have around. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, including small ones, and handled meeting a new male visitor (even one with a beard!) like a pro. Story
Meet Bairn, an energetic and enthusiastic dog in search of an active, confident owner. Bairn has a zest for life and loves to stay busy, whether it’s going for runs, long walks, swimming, or cuddling with his favorite people. He thrives on learning new things and is a quick learner—definitely a smart cookie! Bairn is reactive to new people, other dogs, and some vehicles, so he will need to be walked with a muzzle as a precaution. However, his reactivity can be managed with consistent training, energy-draining activities, keeping a safe distance from triggers, and positive reinforcement for good behavior. When his mind is engaged and his energy is properly channeled, Bairn is much more balanced and in control. This wonderful boy will need a dedicated owner who is committed to continuing his training and giving him the structure he needs. While Bairn may not be immediately friendly with new people, he just needs time and slow, controlled introductions to build trust. Once he bonds with you, he’ll show you his goofy, lovable side. Bairn is looking for a home with a fully fenced yard, where he can thrive in a calm and structured environment. He would do best in a home without small children or other dogs. With patience and understanding, Bairn will prove to be the best companion you could ask for!
