Story
Meet Dexter, or Dex for short— a loyal, loving one-year-old companion looking for the right home. At about 45 pounds, Dexter is the perfect medium-sized buddy for someone who wants a dog that loves being close to his people. We are guessing at the breed of Kelpie and Cattle dog which seams to fit him. His favorite things? Playing fetch with his stuffed toys, curling up right beside you (or even in your lap!), and spending time with the people he trusts. He also enjoys going on walks and exploring with his person. We believe he is a herding type dog. Dexter can take a little time to warm up to new people and is alert when visitors enter the home, so he’ll do best with patient adopters who understand that trust takes time. Loud vehicles can sometimes make him anxious on walks, but he continues to gain confidence with reassurance and routine. The good news is that Dexter does very well around other dogs and does not bark at them on walks or through fences. He enjoys cats and would happily try to make them his playmates! Because he can be sensitive to new people and activity, Dexter would do best in a home without young children. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will stick by your side and reward your patience with lots of love, Dexter may be your perfect match! Dexter is little over 1 year old so still puppish, but fully vetted, Neutered, Microchipped, and his adoption fee is $340. To meet him please go to our web\site - OFOSA.ORG and fill out the Dog Adoption Application and his foster mom will be intouch.

Story
MEET ROCKY, a 2-year-old Australian Kelpie in need of a foster or forever home! Rocky is a very affectionate dog who loves his human! He would do well with someone who works from home or is retired, as he loves to be with people. Rocky weighs only 40 lbs., and is a loving boy. He's done well with other dogs in the past, though we can test him further. Kelpies are intelligent dogs, believed to have been descended from Border Collies. They love to be stimulated with walks and other activities. Rocky would do best in an active home where he can go for walks, hikes or other outings. He's currently in Southern California but can be transported to Oregon. Please email for an application.
