Story
Cooper is one of two dogs from the litter we kept he is a little anxious and therefore with the toddler we have in the home we do not feel comfortable having him in the home without being watched supervised. He is two just as of last May and is good with his brother and a cat that he was raised with. We walk often travel and enjoy our time together. I will really miss him, but he deserves to be in a great home. Thank you for your consideration.

Story
Meet Oliver — a beautiful Blue Merle Mini Aussie with a sensitive soul and a heart that’s worth the wait. Oliver can be very shy when meeting new people and needs a patient adopter who will allow him the time and space to build trust at his own pace. Fast introductions and busy environments can feel overwhelming for him, but with kindness, consistency, and understanding, Oliver blossoms into an incredibly loyal and loving companion.Oliver is looking for a calm, predictable home where he can feel safe and secure. He would do best with gentle older children or, ideally, an adult-only home that can respect his sensitive nature. Once he bonds with his people, he forms deep connections and loves being close to those he trusts.Like many Aussies, Oliver enjoys regular exercise and mental enrichment to help keep him happy and balanced. Because he has never been properly socialized with other dogs, he would do best as the only dog in the home where he can have all the attention and avoid stressful interactions.Oliver may take a little extra time to open his heart, but for the right person, the bond you build with him will be incredibly special and rewarding. If you are interested in meeting Oliver, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am – 6 pm, Sunday 11 am-4 pm (Summer Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email it to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Please follow the instructions on each pet profile.
