Story
Hercules is looking for someone to be their hero.  This 3 year old 170 pound Bull Mastiff is massive and definitely the size of a small pony.  He is a lazy, affectionate big OOF that needs someone bigger and stronger than him to make him their sidekick in life. Hercules needs to be introduced slowly to other dogs. He has never been socialized with other dogs and deserves that chance. For years Hercules had lived with his sister until his owner could no longer care for him or the sister. He and his sister would drop off at the owners parents and told I don't know that he's good with other dogs even though he never tried him. The sister was easily adopted but alas Hercules was labeled with no real testing. Critter Calvary in trying to help this boy find a new home has stepped up and gotten a trainer to go over there and he said all Hercules wanted to do was excitedly meet the other dog and play. He's goofy and he's a little clumsy and he needs some training. He's not great on a leash but he's not terrible. Hercules needs a chance in life and not to be assumed that he's bad in any way because his heart is golden. His efforts will be a little clumsy but someone give this boy a chance to be inside the house and loved and going for walks and being given the trust that his heart is a good one. And an accepting one. We will require that others to adopt him will take him to training and getting polished into the smooth and gentle giant that he is.  Please someone give Hercules a chance to be loved and not parked in a fenced backyard.   He is housebroken, crate trained and he is not destructive in the house.  This boy will make you laugh, make you want to protect him (even though he is big) and he will love you unconditionally and who in the world would ever break in to your home!?  Goodness they would be insane.   This boy loves people though….but if you don’t know him then he could be a nice guardian.   A fenced yard would be the perfect environment for everyone.  If you qualify, then please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 20, 2024, 9:54 am

Story
Denver was rescued from a county shelter after being there over a month. Sadly I have been put in the tough situation to rehome. Denver is a sweet boy who adores other dogs. He will need a string leader dedicated to training. I am happy to chat more about him and our situation.

Story
Zinnia Noelle Breed: Anatolian Shepherd Mix Gender: Female Estimated Birthday: 10/20/2021 Current Weight: 65 Pounds House & Crate Trained: Yes Adoption Fee: $265 --===================== Hi, I’m Zinnia Noelle! I was out on my own as a stray before I was rescued. The humans think I might be about 2 or 3 years old. Now I’m learning a lot at my foster home about good manners and look forward to settling in to my forever home! I’m learning well because I’m easy to redirect and am treat-motivated (yum!). I take some time to warm up to new situations and people. After I feel comfortable, I am lovey-dovey and enjoy being with my people and snuggling. If I want attention, I might paw at you - hey! If I haven’t seen you all day, I might be so excited that I jump (oh right, I’m learning I shouldn’t do that!). I like my foster’s teenager, but haven’t yet been seen around younger kids. I get along well with other dogs and cats. I’m actually pretty curious about cats and squirrels! Playing with other dogs is super fun (if I get rowdy, just redirect me)! I can tend to be on the alpha side and I’ve been seen herding other dogs. To be safe, it’s a good idea to introduce me slowly to larger dogs. I enjoy chewing on bones and toys, so much that I’ve stolen them from my foster sibling, and have even stolen the humans’ shoes and stuffed animals (still learning what’s OK to chew on). I love to be outside, running around and playing with other dogs (I’ve got medium energy). While I adjust to a new home, a 6-foot fence would be preferable, at least until I prove that I won’t run away. I’m totally house trained and also like my kennel. I walk pretty well on a leash, but it’s kind of new so I’m getting better. Let’s be buddies and practice together!
