Benji was surrendered to our rescue when his former home adopted him from a shelter before deciding they weren’t ready for a dog. Instead of giving him back to an overcrowded shelter, they surrendered him to us. Benji is a loving and handsome boy who has eagerly jumped at his second chance and can’t wait to find his forever home. Benji has a fabulous coat that will require brushing to stay sleek and gorgeous.    Below is a note from Benji’s foster home! “Benji is a true cuddle bug who can’t wait to find his people! He loves being in the proximity of his family, watching over me as I work or go about my day, hoping to snag some cuddles. It took Benji a few days to get used to our home and dogs, but after he found his place in the pack, I got to watch him blossom! He now enjoys playing with the other dogs he lives with and instigates playtime often. Benji could spend hours chasing his foster siblings around the yard, zooming back and forth with delight. When he is ready for a nap, he will zonk out on his bed until he is ready for more playtime. Benji is a very good and loving boy who has the softest fur I could pet for hours at a time.  Benji wakes up at 6:30 AM and goes out for a potty break before coming back inside for some more sleep until he is ready to actually start his day. He had breakfast around 8 AM and then spends some time playing and napping as I get my day started. At 11 AM, he gets a long walk which he absolutely loves! In the afternoon, he lounges as I work and spends some time getting his zoomies out in the backyard. He has dinner at 6 PM followed by some more playtime. Benji curls up near me as I watch some TV in the evening before he gets ready for bed at 10 PM. He sleeps happily through the night in his crate.  Benji gets along very well with other dogs, and is currently living with two pups. He adores people as well! Benji walks very well on the leash and greets other dogs he meets politely. Unlike some Spaniels Benji is not a barker. Benji loves playing, so he would love either a playmate or a home full of toys in his new forever home. Bring Benji home today!”   Benji is an option for just about any home, regardless of prior dog experience. Kids in the home should be over the age of 7.February 23, 2024, 4:32 am
