Story
Sam is a very sweet pup that loves to just hang out next to you and give you hugs. He might be a tibetan terrier/poodle mix, he sheds a little. He loves playing with toys, does well on walks. He does well with children and don't mind other pups but he probably would love the full attention.

Story
Micky is 13 years old. I need to rehome him because of my health issues. I got him from our local shelter. He is really sweet dog who loves to go on walks and rides in the car. He enjoys playing with his toys. His hair grows long and he needs grooming about four times a year.. He is very close to me and can be a bit territorial and may bark at new people, but is never a danger. As with most terriers, he can be a barker. The best new home for him would be one where he is not left alone all day, perhaps a retired person who could give him belly rubs, back scratches, and love. He needs a closed in yard if he is let out on his own. Healthwise, his hearing has diminished a little bit, but he is not deaf. He can go up and down stairs just fine, albeit a little slower these days. Mostly he spends his days just hanging out wherever I am. At night he sleeps in his own bed on the floor next to my bed. He truly is a wonderful sweet dog and it hurts a lot to have to find him a new home.

Story
This little gem is a medical special needs pup. Sasha is a very sweet and easy going 1-2 year old Bichon mix; she is about 11 pounds. She loves all people and dogs and enamors everyone she meets. She walks well on leash, sleeps through the night in her crate, and does relatively well with her alone time. She has an adorable way of getting one's attention and loves to play with other dogs. Unfortunately Sasha was most likely hit by a car at some point and her spine is broken in her lower back. She has full use of all her legs, but she's completely incontinent. Her foster assists her to empty her bladder 3-4 times per day (easy to do, and a potential adopter could be taught to do it). If she is assisted to empty her bladder, her diaper stays dry and her fur stays clean. Due to her condition, Sasha is prone to UTIs, but helping her to empty her bladder regularly decreases this potential. Luckily she doesn't show any signs of pain and has a full life expectancy. Sasha will need to live with someone who is home most of the time. She'd probably do best in a home with a yard, so she doesn't always have to be in a diaper, but she would also be an easy dog for an apartment dweller as she doesn't necessarily have to be walked first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Since Sasha is "non-shedding, she will need regular grooming. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Sasha is $200. If you are interested in adopting Sasha, please complete our online adoption application at  https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/   . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. We will consider applicants outside the 9-county San Francisco Bay Area for Sasha, as long as applicant is able to travel to Oakland for meet and greet, and pick up. April 26, 2024, 11:45 pm

Story
*Monday & Bonzai's adoption fee has been covered* These two are such adorable little boys! They are so in love with each other and they are the biggest cuddle monsters you've ever met. They love to snuggle and kiss, they play wrestle, and they love to be touched. They learned the house rules and simple commands very quickly and are well behaved. Monday can be a little sneaky ( we think he might be the brains of the operation) and Bonsai plays along!) It's really funny to watch. They LOVE their walks and are great on leash. They're unphased by crowds or other dogs. We've just adore these boys! The only reason that we are not adopting them is because we have a year of travel ahead of us, and it wouldn't be fair to them. These boys need a home where they will be loved, feel secure, played with, and where their little personalities can blossom. They are good left alone, but they are excellent car-riders and love outings. These two absolutely have to stay together, it would be devastating for them if they were separated. They do enjoy independent time from each other at home, but they are so in love and it's so sweet and special. We love these guys so much we would definitely be willing to pet sit for their new family if they ever needed it! Our only wish is for these beautiful, sensitive, smart, hilarious babies to find the most loving, most comfortable forever home possible!
