Story
Meet Havana, this happy-go-lucky pup is not letting her previous situation as a stray on the streets of Texas define her new life here in Colorado. Recently, she had her back left leg amputated because of a chronic fracture in her femur. (We aren’t sure what happened, but she was possibly hit by a car and just learned to deal with the pain.) Post-surgery, Havana was standing and walking THAT SAME DAY! And the next day, she made it up the stairs and out of the doggie door. All on her own! What a trooper. Havana's journey may have taken an unexpected turn with the loss of her leg, but it hasn't dampened her spirits one bit. In fact, it's only added to her resilient and determined nature. Havana is a friendly pup to humans and doggos alike. She has not met a stranger and will accept pets from anyone willing to give her some. She will approach new people like they went to high school together and it’s about time they catch up. But Havana's affable nature extends beyond just people; she's also a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs. Even with 3 legs, she likes to play with her furry foster brother and sister, and Havana holds her own! She’d make a beloved member of any pack. With her favorite humans, she does the “love lean,” gives gentle kisses, and likes to go in between your legs. Havana loves belly rubs and greets every person and dog with a tail wag. In addition to her sunny disposition, Havana is also remarkably smart and is house trained and crate trained. She quickly picks up on commands, and with her sharp mind and eager-to-please attitude, Havana is a joy to teach and a delight to be around. Currently, Havana does like to sleep in, and mornings are not her favorite. She often likes to take breakfast in bed as she is healing. Havana is a medium size at about 40 pounds and is suspected to be a Tibetan Terrier mix. Her pictures and overall look might make you think of an old, wise soul (and she has seen some stuff on the streets); however, she has the demeanor of a fun-loving, young pup. Despite being from Texas and never having seen snow before, she loved romping around after the snowstorm. She is still learning her balance on 3 legs but does incredibly well, and it won’t let it stop her from going on walks to the park, which is one of her favorite things. While she is still healing and learning her balance, the walks are shorter now, but she’ll be back soon enough. Havana is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and low heartworm positive. She is currently pending treatment at the full expense of the rescue. It is unknown how she does with cats and small children, but with her loving, docile nature, she’d probably do well. Despite missing a limb, Havana's heart is as big as they come. She's a testament to the resilience and unwavering spirit of animals everywhere. With her heartwarming charm, Havana is more than just a survivor; she's a shining example of the transformative power of love and second chances. If you're looking for a loyal companion to join you on life's adventures, look no further than Havana. She's ready to steal your heart and become your forever friend. Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##1988091##

Story
Deion Jr (DJ) is easy-going and clumsy. He's dainty underneath all of that poof and loves some snuggles. He has high Ewok resemblance! Deion Jr is a 2-month-old mix who was born in Bounce's care shortly after his mom was rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog is current on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. This dog is good with other dogs, cats, and children. This puppy is working on kennel training, housebreaking, and house etiquette. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if it might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption!
