Story
This big lug of a pup came to us by way of Lee County Domestic Animal Services, as they were running out of space. We often pull dogs from other shelters that don’t have the luxury of time that we do at ARC. Benji is affectionate, playful and very energetic. We’re looking for a younger, VERY active home for this sweet giant. Does this sound like your home? Why not make an appointment to come and meet him today! My ideal home:I'm looking for a younger, super-active home to call my own!I'm good with:Some Other Dogs Older Children Men Women  Birth date April 2020March 7, 2026, 9:01 am

Story
Zinnia is a gentle giant who came to ARC from Lee County Domestic Animal Services. When she arrived, she was thin and malnourished, and we had no idea she was expecting. Just a few weeks later, to our surprise, Zinnia blessed us with four beautiful puppies (All of whom have found their furever homes)! She has been an incredible mother, giving her babies all the love and care they needed. Now it’s her turn to be cared for — to relax, be spoiled, and enjoy the good life she so deserves. Zinnia will have to complete heartworm treatment prior to adoption, but if you are interested, don’t wait, apply now and start spending some time at ARC getting to know her. Why not complete an application today and schedule an appointment to meet this amazing girl?  https://animalrefugecenter.com/adoption-application My ideal home: I need space to roam and play but a family who will snuggle is my goal. I'm good with: Some Other Dogs   Young Children   Older Children   Men   Women Date of birth June 2020    June 17, 2026, 3:10 pm

Story
My Adoption Fee is Now Sponsored by an Anonymous Donor cuz I am Such a Good Girl!Hello! My name is Lady. Somehow, I wound up in municipal county animal services place. The angels at GOFAR heard about me and came and rescued me.I appear to be a boxer and/or mastiff mix and weigh approximately 60lbs. I am very sweet and well behaved - I think that’s how I got my name! I walk well on leash and follow the pace the volunteers set. I know how to sit and take treats gently. I really don’t like messing in my kennel; as long as we can work together to set a routine/schedule, I should do fine in the house. I am friendly with other dogs and did well in play groups with larger dogs - my rescue thinks I'd be best suited for homes without smaller high energy dogs. I don’t seem to mind the rescue cats I see on my walks! I have such a gentle and easy going personality, that the rescue thinks I would be fine in a family with children. I am looking for my furever family- someone that will love and care for me the same way I will for them. Could it be you?My $250 adoption fee is now zero thanks to a generous donor and includes all of the medical care I received, vet exams, spay and heartworm test (negative), up to date vaccines, deworming, and microchip - all already done. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you encounter any issues with our website, please email adoptions@gofar.dog.If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog.
