Calling all Mastiff lovers!!!!!!!! Do you have experience with large breed, powerful dogs?? Bane is a large breed dog who sometimes forgets his size!! He loves playing with toys - especially tennis balls - and enjoys hanging out with his people. He has been having a great time romping around in the snow and thinks chewing ice is a really fun game! It will take a bit of time for Bane to acclimate to his new home and he will need a consistent routine to help with his house training. He could benefit from training classes to help his become his best self! Like many dogs of his breed, Bane does have a very powerful bark. He will let you know when someone is approaching whether at home or on a walk. Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. (Dogs in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. **Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events. -------------------------------------------- All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
