Story
Sweet Milo is a funny little guy who is very vocal but not a barker. He gets along with other dogs but is not really interested in playing with them. I do not know if he has ever been around cats. He would be perfectly happy being an only dog. He will be a wonderful companion once he is given a opportunity to adjust to a new home.

Story
Meet Bear Bear — the Gentle Soul Looking for His Safe Place Bear Bear is a timid little chihuahua with a heart full of sweetness just waiting to shine. This precious boy came to Satchel’s Last Resort unsure of the world around him, but with patience and kindness, he has begun to blossom. Currently, Bear Bear is thriving in a foster home with one of our staff members, where he’s learning that love is safe and people can be trusted. He enjoys the company of other dogs and finds comfort in having canine friends nearby — their confidence helps him feel more at ease. Bear Bear is still shy with new people and new situations, so he’ll need an adopter who can offer a gentle touch, a calm home, and the time he needs to adjust at his own pace. Once he trusts you, his loyalty and affection are truly heartwarming. If you have a quiet home, a soft spot for timid souls, and maybe even a friendly dog to show him the ropes, Bear Bear may be the perfect little companion for you. He deserves a patient adopter who can help him continue his journey from scared to secure. Bear Bear is ready for someone to love him exactly as he is — could that someone be you?

Story
Sid is seeking a cozy bed to lay on and watch the world go by. He is housebroken - crate trained - walks well on a leash. He would love a nice, quiet place to relax and call home and a best friend. Sid does get along well with other dogs - he doesn't play but enjoys their company. He does like to lay his head on a soft toy.

Story
Macky Mack Mack came to us and landed with one of our awesome fosters at the end of March. At the time of his intake he had almost no hair on his body. He had lived outside on a lanai with minimal care and interaction for the majority of his life. Fast forward a few months and he's a little spitfire he is a little shadow and loves nothing more than to be with his people. Mack is estimated to be about 1-1.5 yrs old and is a chihuahua mix - perhaps a little papillon there too. He loves other dogs, knows how to fall into his pack spot very well and learns very quickly. He is left out during the day with no, well minimal destruction... paper towels, socks, perhaps a shoe are fair game! He gets you in the habit of keeping things picked up and put away pretty quickly! He is still in his puppy stage for the most part so playing with his mouth, jumping, needing to hear "no more than once are still in his day to day activities, but you won't find a better cuddler or side kick that will follow you everywhere! He is only about 15-20 lbs, so he's a little guy! Mack LOVVEEESS cats. But that love includes a bit of racing, tackling and snuggle love so any future kitty siblings must be willing to accept his version of love! He is a little skittish with new people so he will need a family with the patience to help him adjust. He plays rather rambunctiously and does jump some so we think he would do best with older kids. Mack's awesome foster has spent the last two months giving him the love and care that he needs and we are so impressed with the progress he's made. He isn't ready to be adopted today, as he still needs additional routine vet care, but he will be ready to go home soon!!
