Story
This is pepper, my sweet girl. She is 3 and I’ve had her since she was a puppy. Due to my recent divorce and job I am unable to give pepper what she deserves and needs. She is a cuddle pup and loves being loved on. She loves going outside and loves to play fetch. She will play fetch from the couch just the same as outside because she is also completely house trained. She goes potty on puppy pads inside and to be honest she is pretty easy to care for. She just doesn’t like being alone. She’s great with children and other dogs don’t seem to bother her. I think she would love to be the queen pup of the house and get all of the attention if possible but that’s not necessary 🫶🏼. I am in need of rehoming pepper as soon as possible. I am not asking for any fees to be paid and in addition I will include all of her puppy pads and food that I have leftover. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Story
Jackson is so soft you will not believe.  We are not 100% sure what he is a mix of but he sure is cute.  He is about 12 lbs and about 5 yrs old.  He is good with other dogs and ignores the cat in his foster home.  He came form an overcrowded shelter where he was surrendered because owners where moving.  He was very nervous at the shelter and behind the kennel door but once out and about he is a happy boy.  He has such lovely spots!  We think he will be fine with kids.  He is housetrained and pee pad trained.  To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $275 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.April 25, 2024, 1:23 pm

Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Skeeter is a one-year-old femaleChihuahua who loves to play with all the resident dogs and toys. In fact, she will coax you to play even if you’re not all that interested. She is still working on potty training and what is appropriate for dogs to chew on (after all she is a puppy)! A resident dog or two is a must! She goes in her kennel when she sees us getting ready to go out. She does prefer to cuddle in foster Moms’ arms at night. Skeeter is very timid around new people and it will take time to warm up but the wait will be worth it. Sophia "Skeeter" is a young female Chihuahua mix that found herself in Animal Control. When her family didn't come to claim her, she entered rescue and the welcoming arms of her foster family. Skeeter is shy of strangers and new environments but once you earn her trust, she is a total love-bug. Skeeter will need a patient adult-only family who will allow her to progress at her own pace, and a securely fenced yard (flight risk) with a resident canine companion. The suggested adoption donation for Skeeter is a minimum of $400 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
