Story
Thank you for the opportunity to rehome my mother's dog Lucas. We think he is about 13-14 years old, he is neutered and shots are coming due this month. My mom has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Dementia and is unable to care for her two dogs. We might have her female covered but would be willing to entertain rehoming to same family. He has had some skin issues that we believe are diet related. I have tried to meal prep for them as they are also overweight. Due to my mom currently living on her own she will continue with her old habits and over feeding them or buying food that is not the highest quality. Also when there is an ear infection or any other issues, she has difficulty giving them the required medication. Lucas is also not good with the doggy door, I don't believe my mom really trained him to use it. So, unfortunately she won't let him out regularly and he goes inside the home. She has had him for for at least 12 years. He is good with cats and other dogs

Story
*ok with or without other dogs *not good with small children *cats ok *apartments ok Buddy is an adorable 2 year old toy poodle. He has had a bit of a rough start with an owner who did not really know how to train him. He was not well socialized and became afraid of young kids. He is very sweet with adults and needs a confident owner to help him heal and grow emotionally. He’s well behaved and quiet as well as crate trained and house broken. Buddy is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Buddy’s adoption fee is $400 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! Story
Alaska is an adorable, petite, Poodle mix who is ready for a brand new start in life. She truly deserves a “do over” as things weren’t easy for her but she never wavered in her love for people through it all. She is approximately 4 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. Alaska is very quiet but she’s a fairly confident gal in her own way. She doesn’t seem to know what toys are but I’m sure she could learn. She has never met a person she doesn’t like either! She’s good with most other dogs. She’s learning sit and down and she is definitely smart! She’s hesitant on the leash but learning. Like many of our rescue dogs, we are not sure how well housetrained Alaska is. But with gentle persuasion, some consistency, structure and praise he should be easy to train.
