Story
Peanut is almost 2 year old Apricot Poodle that we received from a breeder. He was the last of the litter not sold. He does best with another dog as he is shy and decompressing. For consideration please be over 26 in NY and NJ (25 miles from NYC), only have kids 8 or over . WE do not ship dogs that are for adoption out of the areas we noted. Have a home with lots of dog runs, parks or fenced in yard. Have a visible IG account when we ask for it please. Be active for puppies no couch potatoes! Thank you. Most of all please follow step below and do not call us we are volunteers! Please note we do not adopt in the Bronx nor Staten Island. We have trainers in Brooklyn, LIC, Astoria, Manhattan, LI, NJ ,and CT 20 miles from Greenwich. Kids `8 and up. She is good with all kids but we prefer older to continue her basic training. We do not ship dogs out of state! dogs will be adopted locally so they can see each other. Step 1, Email us suekmwdadoptions@gmail.com and tell us your experience with dogs and where u live, if you don't write a paragraph we will not reply as we don't send blind apps out. 2) If we need more info, we will send u an application 3) DO NOT CALL US 4) DO NOT EMAIL US at our website. We get hundreds of people interested in adopting our dogs and can not possibly get back to everyone. Thank you for your cooperation. Please note we are volunteers, we work with patients and can not take calls. Again email us only at the supplied email or via petfinder. Thank you

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs on to their new adopting families leaving the beginning of August 2025 from Southern California where we are located to the East Coast. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add these girls to our trip for the right home 💕 As always, for peace of mind for our adopting families we never ask for ANYTHING up front. Adoption fee/travel costs are always due when we arrive in person with your sweet girl/girls in hand ❤️ Meet our beautiful purebred red toy poodle sisters. First and foremost they do not need to be rehomed together at all. They would make a great pair if you are looking for two, but if not TRUST us that they will be just fine separated as they truly thrive from receiving attention all their own from their person, so if you have the time to dote on your next beautiful little addition then I assure you that being the sole princess in their next home will be a role neither of them will mind filling ☺️ They are 3 years of age. Foxy is a bit taller, and more leggy and weighs 7.5 lbs. Casey is slightly smaller than Foxy weighing in at 6.8 lbs. Both girls full grown and are at a very healthy weight for their size. They both are beautifully tempered. Foxy really loves to play, and enjoys toys tremendously. She is very outgoing, and will come to you in hopes that you will either engage with her during playtime, or pick her up for snuggles. She has no problem asking for attention and is really great at convincing you to stop whatever you may be doing so that you could share your time with her instead 😊 Casey is very affectionate too, and will come for head rubs, (especially her ears) and would rather be in your arms, or lap than anywhere else if allowed to be. She loves to follow you around and is definitely a nosy body wanting to know what you are doing.  Foxy loves to dance and has mastered little dance routines for treats. She is a total foodie at heart but her dances make treat time that much more exciting so they are on a daily to do list now 😂 Casey will sit there and look pretty, always waiting in anticipation for treats and I believe she just knows her sister is the reason they get extra treats so she lets her do all the hard work while she just sits back and reels the rewards 😂 Too smart if you ask me!  They are wonderful with other animals, whether dogs or cats, so if you have another sweet friend for them to join in life they would be totally okay with that! If you don't, that's fine too. They truly will be happy knowing all attention (and treats) now go to them so no matter what your life looks like, as long as you have time and space in your home, life, and heart then that's all that will ever matter to either of these girls!  They are both house trained, but due to their smaller size are always accompanied outside. We take them out every 3-4 hours, and they do great with that routine. They are accustomed to puppy pads too, but we haven't used them since with us here as they have been doing excellent on the outside potty schedule we have them on.  They are crate trained, and currently sleep in their crates at night. They are very well accustomed to their crates and as soon as the crate door opens they run inside happily to their beds. They can definitely upgrade to a bed aside yours, or in bed with you if you prefer but we decided to let that change in sleep arrangements happen in their next home as they are very comfortable how we have them currently.  They are learning leash confidence as their prior owners rarely had them on leash as they were an older couple who just enjoyed being home with them. They would typically carry them or have them in carriers when they would go out. They just learned and adapted from how they were raised so learning to walk on their own has been a newer experience but they will thrive with enough patience and love leading the way ❤️  Their prior owners were moving back to live with their adult son. They needed mobility support from him, and knew their condition would only get worse and didn't want their girls to live a life less than what they were used to with them before their mobility issues began. They loved being picked up and held and that task alone became harder for them every day. They asked us to take them in and find them the absolute best home or homes that we could so here we are ❤️ Their adoption fees are on our website at the bottom of their adoption listing. We encourage all adopting families to go to our website to learn about who we are and the work we do as to why we have their adoption fee located on our website and not here. You can find their adoption fee at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/foxy-and-casey It covers their spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, dental cleanings, (both of their teeth were in overall great health. Both received a good clean and polish. Casey didn't need any extractions, but Foxy did have 9 extractions. It was also observed and notated down that she had 3 missing teeth. So in all she has a total of 12 teeth gone. But, I was told they have a total of 40 plus teeth so she has plenty left! Yes, Foxy is fine to continue with a normal diet, no food restrictions and no, her tounge won't hang out of her mouth due to the extractions she did have 😉,) their exam with our vet, the care involved in the months they have been with us, their grooming costs, and training we have been personally doing with them.
