So, here’s a funny tale: I once chased a squirrel right into a fancy garden party. Oops! Imagine me, crashing through, getting tangled in streamers, and ending up with a bowl of punch on my head. Everyone laughed, and well, that’s how I got here. But hey, I’m all about the fun times! I do have an old front leg injury, but don't worry I don't let it slow me down. I'm the goofball who'll make you laugh daily, play fetch tirelessly, and chat about your day (I'm quite the talker!). We acquired him as a puppy from a very established breeder as a birthday gift, and he has been raised in a loving home. He is currently 2 years old. He is a toy poodle with a beautiful chocolate multi-colored coat and two different colored eyes, one blue and one brown, which makes him very unique. He is extremely sweet, affectionate, and people-oriented. He has also been a wonderful emotional support animal (ESA). He is very intuitive, comforting, and enjoys being close to his person. He is very active and loves daily walks, outdoor time, and play, but he also loves to eat and is food-motivated, which makes him responsive to training and routines. He is potty trained and knows basic command words. We are looking for a responsible, permanent home that understands the needs of a small, active dog and can provide regular exercise, affection, and a stable environment. Ideally, we would love a family who would be open to sharing occasional photo updates, as this decision was not easy.

Story
If you are looking for a small, friendly, playful dog for you and your resident small dog, then Izzy could be the one! She is a 3 year old, 16 lb Lhasa Apso/Yorkie mix, but breed mix is just our best guess. This little girl had a rough start in life, and she was shy at first, but she has come a long way in her foster home. She now loves to sit in foster mom's lap, and she is allowed to sleep with them too. Izzy loves playing and just hanging out with with the other small dogs in her foster home, so she will be her happiest in a home with another small companion dog. She loves to play with toys and will collect them and play with them all day. Izzy came to us with a serious eye injury, so her eye had to be removed. This has not had any negative effect on her, and she actually feels a lot better. She has some allergies, so she may need allergy meds or shots from time to time. If you can provide Izzy with a calm, quiet home, please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.
