PLAYFUL. LOVING. CURIOUS. Burt is curious, playful and sweet black and white walker/hound mix. At just a year old, he was listed on the county’s euthanasia list due to kennel stress. We knew he just needed time to decompress and the love of a good foster home. This boy loves dogs of all sizes, enjoys meeting new people (including children!) and going to new places and is even cat-friendly! Burt is house-trained, potty-trained and loves his car rides. Burt loves to spend the morning cuddling with his people followed by a day filled with playing with toys and fur siblings! As a younger pup, he is very playful and more energetic, which makes him a perfect companion to take with you hiking, on neighborhood walks and wherever life may take you. WONDERFUL, QUIET 4 YEAR OLD HOUND MIXAll dogs are located in foster homes in southeast Arizona, between Benson and Willcox just off Interstate 10. It is approximately 2 1/2 hours from the Phoenix area or 1 hour east of Tucson. Tripoint is approximately 4 years old and weighs 48 pounds. Poor Tripoint was so scared after being left in a metal for animal control to pick up. Poor Tripoint did not have a lot of hope. Then someone brought in a hot dog, and he became everybody's best friend. This is one of the rescue's favorite dogs. It is amazing to see the wonderful transformation. Tripoint moved right into his foster home, sleeps near the foster's bed and has incredible house manners. He is housebroken and dog door trained. Tripoint is a wonderful boy that will be a great addition to any family. Please come meet this wonderful boy and give him the best years of his life. Sweetie is a sweet, loving, affectionate and gentle dog. This 2-year-old female Tree Walker Coonhound has awesome house manners. Sweetie is allowed on her foster's bed and couch, but if told "no" she doesn't get up. She will sit and stay on command. Sweetie loves car rides and is great in the car. She loves to run in the backyard and to soak up the sun! She is food motivated but there is no food aggression with the foster's own dog. She gets along well with the owner's dog and others they meet in the dog park. She hasn't been exposed to cats. Sweetie's ONLY drawback is her leash manners. Being a Coonhound, she always has her nose on the ground following a scent, and she can really pull. She may not have been walked on a leash with the family who surrendered her so she will need training to walk properly. Other that she is the complete package of a perfect canine companion! Sweetie's $350 adoption fee includes a microchip, vaccinations, and spay surgery.
