You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Trooper is a handsome 5-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound weighing about 50 pounds, with a playful personality and a heart full of sweetness. He’s potty trained, crate trained, heartworm negative, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Trooper absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around to play with. He’s a goofy, food-loving guy who gets excited for meals, playtime, and spending time with his people. Despite being a hound, he has shown very little interest in squirrels or rabbits running nearby. Trooper can be sensitive to unfamiliar noises and sudden sounds. Things like sliding glass doors, air conditioners turning on, or men’s voices outside can startle him, so he’ll need a calm, patient home where he can continue building confidence and feeling safe. Because of this, he would do best in a women-only home and is not recommended for homes with children. Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.
