Story
Arf! I'm Ivery (Ay-ver-ee), a 43-pound Beagle mix who's middle-aged at 8 years. But that doesn't keep me out of the social loop. My attributes- toddler friendly, compatible with other dogs, good on leash, cuddlebug- makes me an ideal doggy and sleepover candidate. A few days ago two students took me on a local road trip. We walked around Lake Hollingsworth, stopped for a Starbucks pup cup and capped it off with my nap while the humans drove me back to spcaflorida. My go-to bag is always packed for my next adventure. I've had some teeth extracted but the remaining ones, scaled and polished. So, the weather's ideal and I'd luv to meet you and curl up as we watch a doggy movie during a date or, better yet, a sleepover. Stop by soon.

Story
Meet Cliff, the little survivor! Cliff was on death's door when the stars aligned and he ended up at exactly the right place at exactly the right time: off a rural interstate in the path of an avid animal rescue volunteer on a road trip. When his now-foster mama spotted him, he was clinging to life, his ribs protruding from his tiny, battered body. His emotional wounds were as evident as the physical ones - he was so afraid and mistrusting of people that only the overwhelming temptation of food (a peanut butter Clif bar) convinced him to come to the safety of her arms. Not thinking twice, she scooped his sick, injured, emaciated, trembling little body into her car and got him to a vet. Unchipped with no one searching for him, he was accepted into rescue to begin his journey towards recovery... and several months later... LOOK AT HIM NOW!  Cliff is now healed physically & emotionally, fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, heart worm negative, fecal clear, and very well socialized with friends of all shapes and sizes (humans, dogs, livestock - you name it!). While it's evident Cliff was never a beloved member of a family, Cliff is making great strides in training, so he would benefit from a consistent schedule and an adopter committed to continue working with him on his obedience. He is mostly potty, crate, leash, and off-leash trained, and has fully mastered the game of fetch!  Estimated to be only 1 year old, Cliff has a full life ahead of him to bury his past trauma under layers and layers of adventure and fun! Cliff's ideal adopter is active and outdoorsy with plenty of time to play and a heart big enough to continue showing him that people are kind. Are you that person? If so, apply today and ring in the new year with a best friend at your side. January 22, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
Honey is a sweet energetic 2-ish yr old beagle/hound mix that was found abandoned on the side of the road with her puppy. She has been fostered for the last several months while finishing heart worm treatment and gaining weight from her extreme malnourishment. Honey loves attention and cuddling. She definitely has a hound nose and loves to go outside to sniff around. She will do best with someone who can match her energetic nature and is patient and will be able to spend time with her focusing on training. It will be best if she does not go to a home with any prey animals (ie. Rabbits) but does very well with other dogs and people. She loves to jump to get close and struggles with respecting boundaries. She is sensitive to loud noises and does not like squeaker toys. She is one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met and there is something so pure about her countenance. She will be an amazing addition to the right home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Andy is a special beagle who needs a special home. When he first arrived in July 2020 he was paralyzed with fear, but since that time he has made remarkable progress and we believe he is now ready for adoption to the right family. Andy will blossom in a quiet home with someone who is able to spend a good amount of time with him, either petting him or keeping him company out in the yard. Andy is very sweet, quiet and loves getting affection from his person. We also feel strongly that Andy will need another confident and friendly dog to help him and would require a fenced yard. He will go on short leash walks but is definitely more comfortable roaming freely in his own safe garden. He does well with house training if taken out regularly or has access to a dog door. He has learned to use a dog door with a soft plastic flap. He will also go potty on a pee pad if he is unable to go out often. He likes to sleep in a quiet place on a dog bed and particularly likes walk-in closets as his safe place. In his foster home he eats his meals and sleeps in the master closet -- with the door open. He prefers to eat without anyone in the room with him. He does not care much for the crate, but his foster parents never felt like he needed to be crated. He is not destructive at all and can be left to free roam when alone, and will likely stay on his bed. Andy does great with other dogs but will get nervous around a dog who wants to jump on him all of the time. Cats are okay too - he ignores the cat in his foster home even when the cat wants to engage with him. Loving this special dog is a distinct pleasure and his gentle trust is food for your soul.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 16, 2024, 6:57 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Duke is a dog who wants to devote himself to his human. Almost every single day either Duke's foster mom or foster dad says, 'Duke is a really good dog!' - because he is! Please be sure to check out the video clip below. He is a well behaved, good looking fellow. Duke has been in his foster home for several months now and his disposition has been exemplary. Although he is definitely into lizards and squirrels his recall is amazingly good and he will run to you and sit down right in front of you. Most often he has a happy grin on his face. He also crates very well as long as there's a promise of at least a small treat for him when he goes in. His crate is where he has his meals and sleeps at night. House training has been excellent from day one. Duke is moderate energy but really needs a fenced yard and he could jump a 4 ft fence easily. He does like to run but also enjoys just lying about surveying his property and watching for the squirrels and lizards! He loves affection and, although he doesn't pester or beg for it, he's ready anytime you are! Duke is wonderful at just curling up next to you on the couch, content to be at your side. He has done well with numerous dogs in his foster home but does better with females and would be just fine as an only dog.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 16, 2024, 6:57 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.COURTESY LISTING Meet this handsome boy, Bo. He also goes by Beau, Beauregard or even BoBo.  Strangers become friends in no time at all. People everywhere stop to meet and pet him for a few minutes.  He loves people.  He is neutered, house broken, loves long walks, cuddles and belly rubs.  Bo is great on the leash but sometimes if he's sees a squirrel, his instincts take over and he starts to run after it. Bo would need a human who could handle the surprise squirrel appearances.    Bo is a cuddler and loves to be loved. Please give this wonderful, sweet, loyal and protective boy a chance at a forever home.  Sadly, our dad is no longer able to care for him, so my sister and I are trying to find Bo a new loving home.  Please contact us for additional information or to arrange a Meet & Greet.
