Story
Introducing Boomer! This 1 year old guy is a Treeing Walker Coonhound mix weighing 37 lbs. Boomer is a great family dog, or can be loyal to his single pet parent in a forever home. He has shown friendly, loving behavior to other dogs and children, and while he hasn't yet made acquaintance with cats, his foster parent will test this soon and report back. Boomer is an easygoing boy that will more than likely adapt well to any environment. He can always be found with his tail wagging, seeking tummy rubs, and cuddles on the couch with his people and his foster dog siblings. He also loves sleeping in bed at night with his people. He is housetrained, and tolerates a crate, but does well left at home gated into a specific area of the house without making any accidents, and is not destructive. Boomer may get too excited while living life and have excited dribbles here and there, but he is still a good boy. Boomer's favorite hobbies are to play with his dog friends out in the yard and in the house, but is also content working on deer antlers, Benebones, and other chews. He also loves dog enrichment toys so he can use his hound nose. He hasn't been for a walk yet that we are aware of, but he'll likely enjoy it and make an amazing walking partner. Any time he can be out exploring the outdoors for new smells is a good day! Always something to be sniffed! His dream home would be a house with a fenced in yard so he can be out to his heart's content. Give Boomer all the love he deserves and adopt him today! His minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
