Boy howdy, I`m Boomhauer! If you are looking for a young hound dog, then you will struggle to find a more perfect specimen than I. I`m on the smaller size for my breed, but I do plan to fill out a bit thanks to all the tasty meals I get here at WSHS! My personality is sweet, energetic, curious, goofy, and playful. I`m an affectionate guy, and I am likely to jump up and give a big hug and a kiss to someone when I`m happy to see them. Being a hound dog, I`m an excellent communicator, meaning I like to tell you what is happening at all times in case you aren`t paying attention. I`m learning my obedience skills and practicing walking nicely on the leash, but I`d love to do an obedience class or maybe even nose work with my new family! I have a particular interest in following my nose, and I would love to spend a lot of time exploring the neighborhood, hiking, or even just nosing around in a backyard. I`m a smart guy, but I also have my own ideas about things, so creating a bond will be the key to molding me into the perfect hound dog. I love other dogs and play with them nicely, and I do well with people of all ages, though management would be important with smaller children because I might accidentally knock a tiny person down! I am polite with cats, but my silly energy might put off cats that aren`t interested in playing with me. I`d make an amazing addition to any hound-loving home - apply to meet me today!

Winnie is a 5 year old tri-colored treeing walker coonhound. She is 62 pounds and is ready for a forever home. She is a very sweet girl that just wants to be near her people and please them. She is full of energy and enjoys running and playing with toys. Winnie would do best with another dog as she has shown a lot of enthusiasm in her foster home with playing with other dogs. She does ok in her kennel when her foster's aren't home and they actually can leave her to roam and she doesn't bother or tear anything up. She loves other dogs and people, including children as young as 3 years old, but is not good with cats. She is potty trained. She loves going for car rides. Winnie does bark some when she is outside, she has the typical hound bark! She would do best with a very secured fenced yard to run out her extra energy as she is a digger and an escape artist. She is ok on a leash but tends to pull as she has her nose to the ground most of the time and if she gets on a scent. Winnie sleeps on the couch overnight or in her fosters bedroom. She is a great dog, she just needs some continued training with manners. Beau is ready to retire out of shelter life! Beau is a spunky senior who enjoys walks and singing a little song for those who will listen. Unfortunately, Beau's owner passed away leaving Beau without his family or a place to go. We promised Beau that when he arrived we would find him the best home to live out his glory days in. If you are a hound lover, open your heart to Beau! All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. Born: April 19, 2022 I am 46lbs and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $300 Meet Jerry, an absolutely amazing dog who's looking for a special forever home! This handsome boy may be a bit shy at first, so he needs someone who can give him the time and space to come out of his shell. But once Jerry realizes you're family, get ready for a ton of loyalty, love, and snuggles! His foster family is working hard to help him feel more comfortable around new people, and he's slowly coming along, so his future adopter would need to continue his training with that. Jerry shares his home with four kids ages 5 to 11, and he absolutely loves them. While he might play a bit rough since he doesn’t quite realize his size, older kids are probably best, although his foster 5-year-old is his best bud. Potty training? No worries there! Jerry is a champ at going outside and has zero accidents. Plus, he’s perfectly happy chilling on the couch, patiently waiting for his family to come back home—no need for a crate! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.

These animals are not located in any of the Society`s physical locations. As this is a Home-to-Home animal you are not required to fill out an Anti-Cruelty Society adoption application form. ***She is a calm and really, really sweet girl who likes attention- For the most part, she’s content on one of her two large K9 Ballistics beds (we have oneon our main living level and one in our bedroom/Morgan’s office)- She’s a sporting dog and needs to get her energy out! We currently take her for two1-mile+ walks per day around the park- She is innately a rodent hunter and is very attracted to squirrels and rabbits onour walks- She’s good with other dogs (respectful and curious on our walks; reports from boardingare that she enjoys running with the other medium-sized dogs during the day)- Up-to-date on all vaccines- She is potty-trained- She is crate-trained- Until moving to Chicago in July, she’d slept in her crate at night on our main livinglevel- Since moving, she’s slept on her bed on the main living level or, more often, onher bed in our bedroom- She has separation anxiety and has a really hard time when we leave the house; she’llbark, often continuously, while we’re out of the house- Morgan and I both work at home- We normally give her Trazodone any time we leave the house for a couple hoursat a time, which seems to helpFor adoption information, please email wenzel.cole@gmail.com
