Turkish Angora kittens & cats in Santa Cruz, California

Meet Andrea, the adorable dilute tortie medium hair-ed gal! Andrea came into the Shelter originally with her littermates as kittens. Upon entry to the Shelter, staff determined that these cats had ringworm (a fungal infection like athletes foot, not an actual worm). An experienced foster parent took Andrea (and her friends) into their care to provide treatment. After completing their treatments, they have been medically cleared for adoption.. which brings us to today!Volunteers who have interacted with Andrea (and her friends) where they are housed in a getting acquainted room. They have noted that they are curious and playful. Andrea and her friends will take turns climbing into your lap and soaking up love (while purring away happily). Andrea has been indoors only and is really enjoying being a part of the family. She may do well with one of her friends in an adoptive home or in a home with an existing feline friend (provided there is a slow, thoughtful introduction). Yucca and Cordyline are a very silly bonded sibling pair. They’re still pretty scared of human touch, but that doesn’t stop them from playing with wand toys and chasing each other around all day! Yucca is the brave brother and accepts, and enjoys pets and attention on his terms. Cordyline is his little shadow, watching intently as he braves this scary, unfamiliar world… she is surely soon to follow. With a lot of patience and love, they will be great companions.
