Occasionally when we rescue street cats, we find one that appears to be royalty in disguise.  And such was the case with Princess Dasha.  Dasha's mama cat moved her 3 kittens onto a roof to keep them safe, but she did not have enough milk for her kittens, so they were underweight and very fragile.  Once in custody with plenty of food and care the kittens slowly recovered and each began to show their own distinct personality.  Dasha is calendar-cat beautiful, a rare orange and white female. (Did you know that most orange cats are male?) While she loves to play like a kitten, she can be a bit reserved around new people, as befits royalty.  But once you have earned her trust (which does not take long) she will shower you with purrs, affection, and invitations to play. Dasha loves to nap in your lap or next to you, and is extremely huggable, with a soft almost-medium length coat.  To this Princess, the lap of luxury means YOUR lap. Coconut is a sweet boy who loves curling up in cozy spots for long naps and enjoys gentle pets. While he was found as a stray, the person who found him kept them at their house for a few days and saw that Coconut loves to nap on the couch and coexisted well with their own cat. Coconut has a calm, affectionate personality and a positive history with other cats, making him a great fit for a multi-cat home. If you’re looking for a soft, snuggly companion, Coconut is ready to melt your heart.

Story
He’s approximately 5–7 years old, white and gray, and came to me as what appeared to be a stray. I took him in, nursed him back to health, had him neutered. He got a dental cleaning and had some teeth pulled, and he’s now thriving. He’s been living on my porch as an outdoor cat for over three months, and has transitioned to being an indor/outdoor cat where he has a heated house and plenty of cozy spots, and he’s been so happy and content. Scruffy is docile, affectionate, and incredibly sweet. When I let him inside, he uses the litter box perfectly, eats and drinks well, and loves nothing more than cuddling and being held. He’s very social, does great in the car in fact loves looking outside, and truly is the best little companion. I would keep him forever if I could, but I have two resident cats who are not adjusting well now that he’s healthy tho he loves them. He deserves to be the star of the show, as he didn’t have an easy life and has adjusted so well. He even follows commands.
