Story
My Dad recently passed away, leaving his cat Bella without a home and her longtime best friend. Bella is a long-haired cat, possibly a Turkish Angora or Nebelung. She is 17. Bella can be anxious, shy, and defensive around strangers. It took her about a week to get settled into her current foster home. Now she’s affectionate and wants to be on our laps or nearby much of the time and is often seeking pets. She’s an indoor cat and uses the litter box without accidents. At a recent vet visit, she got updated vaccinations and the vet said she appeared to be in good health (including teeth). She is still active and can jump up to favorite perches and get around fine. Her eyesight and hearing are fading, but not enough to slow her down much. We have cat allergies, our home is not well set up for a curious cat, and our travel schedule would leave Bella alone too much of the time (or require boarding). So we are looking for a great home for Bella to spend her golden years.
