Story
She can be incredibly affectionate—nuzzling into you, curling up in your lap, and showing her softer side when she feels comfortable. However, Kyle has always had a feisty streak and can scratch or bite when the mood strikes. Two roommates adopted Kyle in Atlanta in ~2014 after fostering her for a period of time and falling in love with her unique personally. Once they moved to California, she's been living with one of her initial adopters and their family since 2015, moving between San Francisco and San Diego. She’s currently living with two toddlers, but the chaos of a busy household has become too overwhelming for her. She has started scratching and biting, even unprovoked, which has created an unsafe situation for both her and the children. Kyle is FeLV+, which means she’ll need to be the only cat in the home unless any resident cats are also FeLV+. Kyle would thrive in a calm, adult-only home or with a family with older children who understand her boundaries. She needs a patient, cat-savvy adopter who will give her the space and understanding she deserves. In the right environment, Kyle will be a loving and loyal companion—on her own terms. She loves coming up and asking for cuddles and pets, but also needs her space when she's feeling feisty. Kyle is FeLV+, but hasn't had any medical issues as a result. She is currently taking Prozac, which has been helping a lot her scratching and biting (she's generally gentler and scratches/bites less frequently). . Kyle is currently living in Palo Alto, CA 94301 Please note: Kyle is a Special Needs cat.Kyle needs a home with no young children.More information & application [ts=1784581243&src=aap]

Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.    Warning: Your House Will Never Be the Same At just 13 weeks old, the Peninsula Litter has already mastered the art of being kittens. Some kittens spend their days quietly napping in a sunbeam. These are not those kittens. The Peninsula Litter believes every shoelace is a snake that must be defeated. Every cardboard box is a luxury condo. Every paper bag is an amusement park. They can turn a crumpled receipt into a 30-minute sporting event, race through the house at warp speed for absolutely no reason, then collapse in a tiny pile as if they have just completed an Olympic marathon. Five minutes later, they do it all again. If you've ever laughed while a kitten proudly carried a toy twice their size through the house at 2:00 a.m., found yourself applauding an impossible leap from the couch to the cat tree, or wondered why there was suddenly a kitten hanging halfway out of a laundry basket, you already understand the magic of this age. These four siblings—Mateo, Foster, Carlos, and Clara—are exactly what kittens should be: curious, fearless, playful, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. They've been raised in loving foster homes where they've been well socialized from the very beginning. They've been exposed to dogs and other cats and would do wonderfully in a home with respectful children. They're confident little explorers who settle in quickly because people have always been part of their world. Whether you live in a downtown apartment, a cozy condo, or a house with room to roam, these kittens aren't looking for square footage. They're looking for someone who will laugh when they steal a sock, smile when they chase invisible 'monsters' across the living room, and happily make room for a warm little body curled up beside them at the end of the day. Picture coming home from work and being greeted by tiny paws racing to the door. Imagine making your morning coffee while a curious kitten supervises from the nearest chair. Picture movie nights with a purring kitten asleep in your lap, or lazy Sunday mornings when the biggest decision is whether to chase a toy mouse or curl up in a sunny window for a nap. Before long, you'll wonder how your home ever felt complete without them. Because kittens almost always do better with another playful feline companion, we'd especially love to see two of these siblings continue growing up together. Mateo and Foster are the very best of friends. They currently live together, play together, wrestle together, and often end the day curled up side by side. We'd absolutely love to see them continue their adventures in the same home. Carlos and Clara are another wonderful pair we'd love to see adopted together as they live together now. They complement each other beautifully and make a fantastic duo. These pairings are not requirements, and we'll always choose the home that is the best fit for each kitten. However, if we have two equally qualified applicants and one family is interested in adopting one of these pairs together, that family will receive priority. If you're looking for laughter, companionship, endless entertainment, and tiny best friends who will quickly become cherished members of your family, the Peninsula Litter is ready to fill your home with love, purrs, and just the right amount of kitten mischief. We can't wait for you to meet them. They have all been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350 for the pair or $200 per kitten. . July 20, 2026, 6:43 pm

Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.    Did Someone Order the Perfect Cat? Because Echo Is Here. Some cats simply fit into a family. Echo becomes part of it. Echo is a 2 year old Turkish Van mix with the kind of easygoing personality that makes everyone wonder if he's always lived there. Friendly, affectionate, curious, and endlessly charming, he's the cat who greets visitors like old friends and somehow convinces everyone that stopping to pet him is the most important thing they'll do all day. Echo approaches life with quiet confidence and genuine curiosity. Every cabinet, every window, every paper bag, and every new toy deserves a thorough investigation. His foster family jokes that nothing escapes his attention. If something interesting happens in the house, Echo is already there...just making sure everything is in order. He's also incredibly smart. Puzzle toys? Challenge accepted. Treat-dispensing games? He's already figuring them out. The more you engage his mind, the happier he becomes. Echo enjoys solving little puzzles almost as much as he enjoys collecting the treats hidden inside them. Of course, after all that hard work, every genius deserves a break. Echo is a world-class lounger. You'll often find him stretched out in his favorite cat bed, perched high on his cat tree surveying his kingdom, or curled beside his favorite person enjoying a quiet afternoon together. He's wonderfully affectionate without being demanding and has perfected the art of appearing exactly when someone has an empty lap available. Movie night? He's in. Working from home? Expect a furry assistant. Reading a book? Echo believes every chapter is improved by a purring companion. One of the things everyone notices about Echo is just how social he is. He genuinely enjoys being around people and has the relaxed, friendly temperament Turkish Vans are known for. He doesn't make life complicated—he simply wants to be included. A tall cat tree near a sunny window would be his dream office. Add a basket full of toys, a few puzzle feeders, plenty of tasty treats, and a cozy bed, and Echo will consider himself one very fortunate cat. He's the kind of companion who brings a peaceful presence into a home. Whether he's quietly supervising household activities, entertaining himself with a puzzle toy, or curling up beside you after a long day, Echo has a wonderful way of making ordinary moments feel special. Some cats make you laugh. Some cats make you smile. Echo somehow manages to do both while also making your house feel a little more like home. Echo has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150. If you're looking for a smart, affectionate companion with a heart as warm as his purr, Echo is ready to fill your home with love...and maybe remind you where you left your puzzle pieces. July 20, 2026, 6:43 pm
