PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email.
It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes, and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.
The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.
X-23, her kittens ELEKTRA and WOLVERINE were saved in Hemet, California. The wonderful lady that lives in a mobile home saved them from the very cruel neighbors. She fostered them till they were ready for us to take them.
Meet X-23, a charming Turkish Van mix from Hemet, California, who may be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’ll become your best friend. With her soft, silky coat and sweet gold eyes, X-23 radiates warmth and affection. This young lady has her cozy moments, but don’t let her quiet demeanor fool you—she’s got a playful side that loves a good game or two.
X-23 has a soft spot for wet food and especially enjoys a tasty treat of Churu, which she’ll happily savor. Her appetite is only rivaled by her love for snuggling, and if you’re looking for a companion who’ll warm your heart with her gentle presence, X-23 is your girl. She may take her time warming up to new faces, but once you earn her trust, she’ll be all in, offering affection and companionship in abundance.
X-23 would thrive in a loving home where she can continue to build confidence and share her snuggly nature. Her new family should be patient and understanding, ready to give her the time she needs to adjust and trust. With a bit of time and care, X-23 will shower her new family with affection and joy.
Could you be the loving family X-23 is waiting for? She’s ready to find a new home where she can be her playful, cuddly self alongside her favorite sibling. For more information, please go to our website: Workinwhiskers.com

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated!
************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************
If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.
Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.
We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.
X-23 is ALREADY fully vetted.
The adoption fee of $250 covers:
Spay
FVRCP shots
RABIES shot
FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative)
Drontal Dewormer
Stronghold Flea Control
Microchip
We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby! Just ask!
