Turkish Van kittens & cats in Utica, Michigan

CJ is the sweetest boy who loves to play and cuddle! He’s very social and warms up to everyone he meets with purrs and gentle head nudges. He’s very curious and loves to be outside, which is why I’m looking for a new home for him. I took him in as a foster from my sister who couldn’t keep him at her house due to an anxious new dog they adopted. I travel frequently for work and don’t have a proper outdoor space for him to roam around, so I think he would be happiest in a home with indoor/outdoor capability.

Sonni was rescued as a baby kitten with his homeless mother, on the streets of inner city Detroit. He grew up to be a tall, handsome and gentlemanly feline, who has a notable affinity for stirring his water bowl and play with water in the sink, which is a notable trait in the Turkish Van breed. All in all, Sonni is a happy and active, gentle giant.

She once shared her home happily with other cats, including an older kitty she was especially close to. One by one, her feline companions passed away from old age, and since losing her favorite friend, she has struggled. There is also a small dog in the home, and although they are the same age, she is simply afraid of dogs. She now spends much of her time hiding away. Her family is keeping them separated, but they know that isn't the life this sweet girl deserves. They want her to have the chance to thrive again, in a peaceful home where she doesn't have to live in fear. She has previously loved living with other cats, so a calm feline companion may be just what she needs. A quiet, dog-free homewould be ideal. Her family loves her tremendously, and this decision is breaking their hearts. They are willing to send her with everything to help make the transition easier: her bed, food, treats, catnip, litter, and soft-sided carrier. Sometimes loving an animal means recognizing that the home they need may be different from the home we can give them. This little lady deserves sunny windows, cozy beds, gentle companionship, and the freedom to come out of hiding.  Interested in giving her that home? Please email Making Miracles Animal Rescue at mmarpaws@gmail.com and we will put you in touch with her family. Please share. Her peaceful little retirement home might be waiting somewhere in your friends list. ❤️Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment.
