Story
 If you are looking for a lap cat that appreciates the simple things in life, look no further. Penny is a 5 year old sweet, quiet, and shy girl, that doesn't make a fuss at all. She's been a pleasure to have in her foster home, and if you check out her You Tube video, you'll get to hear the precious purrs of Penny. But on that note, we would like you to know that Penny came to us with FHV, which is the Feline Herpes Virus. This does NOT shorten her life expectancy,although she will always be a carrier. (Think of humans who get stressed out and get cold sores. This is similar)  She can live a completely normal healthy life. We do give her kitty vitamins daily, and this will be provided for the first year after adoption, but she will always need them until she's old and grey. The FHV-1 can be contagious to other cats, but it's common that they live side by side without ever passing it along to other cats. OR.... If you have a cat that is already a carrier of the FHV and have always wanted another cat, here's your chance. FHV-1 is not contagious to dogs or humans. Her adoption fee is $75.00, and includes spay, up to date vaccines, flea and tick prevention, dewormer , microchip, a year of vitamins and endless love and appreciation from Penny (for opening your home to a special needs kitty!)February 28, 2026, 10:37 pm

Story
My name is Patches. I used to have a family. When they got evicted, I got left behind. I didn’t understand what was happening, I just knew the door never opened again😢. I found a boarded-up house nearby and made that my spot. It wasn’t great, but it kept some of the rain and snow off of me. There was a man down the street who started coming by every day❤️. He brought food and talked to me like I mattered. He told me I was pretty. I believed him. He fed me well — probably too well — so yes, I’m a little full figured. I like food. I’m not pretending otherwise. One night something came after me. I don’t know what it was, just that I didn’t win. I lost the sight in one eye💔. I manage fine now. I know my space, I map things out, and I pay attention. When the area I was living in turned into a construction zone, it wasn’t safe anymore. The nice man called Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue and TNR to help me. That’s how I ended up in a loving foster home. I’m around 8–10 years old. Not a kitten. I’m past the climbing-the-curtains stage. I like soft places, steady routines, and people who sit down for a while. I will absolutely come find you for attention. I’ll head-butt your hand. I’ll climb into your lap if you let me. If you stop petting me too soon, I’ll remind you by rubbing my head on you. I don’t need much. A safe place. Regular meals. Someone who’s home enough to notice me. I’ve done the outside thing and I didn't like it. I’m ready to be someone’s inside cat for good. I'm very potty trained and clean. I’ll stick close to you. I’ll sleep near you. I’ll keep you company in a quiet, steady way. That’s it. I’m Patches 🧡

Story
Ooty got her name from Ooty Orange 🧡 Chocolates because of her beautiful calico coloring — all those warm orange patches mixed with dark swirls and soft white. She really is as pretty as a little box of fancy chocolates. This baby was abandoned on The Kitty Trail in Piqua, Ohio. She was so scared and trying to survive on her own when someone heard her crying up in a tree during the frigid winter temperatures. She was stuck there for two days before volunteers were finally able to get her down. Ooty was already skin and bones from being out there alone. She hadn’t been able to fend for herself, and it showed. She was just a tiny thing trying to figure out a world that had suddenly left her behind. Even after everything she went through, Ooty is nothing but sweet. She absolutely melts when you brush her. She’ll settle right into your lap, start purring almost immediately, and fall asleep like that’s exactly where she’s always belonged. She’s still just a baby at 5 months old and very much acts like one — playful, curious, and so ready to be loved. Ooty has already been through more than she should have at her age. Now she just needs a home where she’ll never be cold, hungry, or alone again.
