Story
I have had Stella for a little over a year. She is a good cat, but she needs access to the outdoors (which I cannot give her in my apartment). Before I adopted her, she lived on the streets for 2 years and should not live exclusively indoors. The adopting family must be willing to give her outdoor access.

Story
This little angel is part of a two kitten litter. Her brother panther is a solid black kitten and she’s solid white. Their mother is a gray tabby stray that I was feeding. She became pregnant and once she gave birth, she brought them to my doorstep. They were bottle fed at the beginning and now they’re eating soft food. They are semi litter trained but very good around other animals and children.

Story
CHATTY, BISCUIT-MAKING PURR MONSTER  DOB 5/15/25 Here there, everyone! I’m Avery, a sweet, gentle, affectionate, and cuddly Turkish Van mix fella who purrs, makes biscuits, and chats with my foster pawrents about how our day is going. I’m mostly snow white with black on my head and tail as well as a black patch on my rump above my tail. Plus I have a cute goatee and a decorative black circle on my right forearm as well as one on my left paw pad, which the Turks would say are the thumbprints of Allah. My brothers, Thumper and Max, and I are known as the #dicey-dice-dudes because we look like white dice with black spots, and we were born to a stray momma cat in Foster Meowmy’s neighborhood. After we were weaned, Foster Meowmy had Momma spayed and scooped up us kittens so we’d have a chance at a better life indoors. When I first met my foster pawrents, I was a shy, quiet companion who enjoyed observing activity around me from a safe, cozy spot. Thank heavens they didn’t rush me; their time and patience was rewarded; and my delightful personality now shines through. I have to admit that Temptation and Churus treats greatly expedited my learning to trust them. Plus interactive play as they teased me with the feathered wand toy increased our mutual bonding. Now I’m ready to be the handsome, affectionate cuddle buddy and chatty, biscuit-making purr monster of my forever family. Although I’m still shy around new people, I promise that I’m worth the wait if you’ll practice the 3-3-3 rule of cat adoption: give me 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routines, and in 3 months, I’ll have opened up to be a bona fide member of your family. Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU! HOPE ID 25-0719-C100 Avery’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. To apply online: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Avery will be this week-end, email us at nancy.e.kline@hotmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you. QUEEN OF CALM, SOOTHING COMPANIONSHIP  DOB 10/1/23 Hey there, everyone! I’m Winter, a sweet, very calm, gentle, loving Turkish Van mix gal, which means that I’m white except for a black cap on my head and black tail. I’m really quite a stunning beauty who will mesmerize you with my shiny gold-coin eyes and plush, snowy-white coat. I adore sharing quiet moments with Foster Meowmy – especially when she gently rubs my belly. Boy howdy! Does that ever feel good! When she's not available, I’m quite content to pass the day basking in a patch of sunshine on the windowsill. It’s the perfect spot to watch “kitty TV” as squirrels scamper up the trees, birds fly by, and brazen lizards stare at me through the glass.   I deserve to live a life of leisure because by the time I was 19 months old, I had already delivered two litters of kittens at an apartment complex in southwest Houston. In fact, my seven-month-old daughter Summer, who was born when I was a year old, and I gave birth to a total of nine kittens on the very same day in May! We merged our two litters so none of the kits know which of us is their momma or grandma. Summer and I raised our kittens together as true partners to insure that our kittens got the nonstop love and nurturing they needed to thrive.  When the kits were six weeks old, a kind HOPE volunteer rescued all eleven of us from the apartments and brought us into foster care.  Now that I'm permanently retired from motherhood, I’m ready to teach my forever hooman family how to relax and chill out after a hard day at the office. Oh the fun we might have side-by-side on the sofa as we binge on Netflix and Animal Planet. You just have to promise to give me an occasional belly rub to make my ecstasy complete.  Although we're available separately, my daughter Summer and I think it would be the cat's meow if we could be adopted together. We could be cuddle buddies and playmates while you're at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me (and Summer!) today! HOPE ID 25-0609-S040 Winter’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. BIRTHED THEIR LITTERS ON THE SAME DAY DOB 10/1/23, 10/1/24 Hey there, everyone! We’re Winter and Summer, a sweet, calm, and gentle mother/ daughter duo who is very bonded to each other. Although we cry when we’re separated, we both adore sharing quiet moments with Foster Meowmy – especially when she rubs Winter’s belly or gently scratches Summer’s ears, chin, and cheeks. Boy howdy! Does that ever feel good! Winter says, “I’m a loving Turkish Van mix gal, which means that I’m white except for a black cap on my head and black tail. I’m really quite a stunning beauty who will mesmerize you with my shiny gold-coin eyes and plush, snowy-white coat. When Foster Meowmy’s not available to dispense belly rubs, I’m quite content to pass the day basking in a patch of sunshine on the windowsill. It’s the perfect spot to watch “kitty TV” as squirrels scamper up the trees, birds fly by, and brazen lizards stare at me through the glass.” Summer says, “I’m a playful “bicolor,” which means that I’m mostly white except for soft brown tabby on my head, back, and tail. My natural eyeliner and lipstick give me a glamorous look, if I do say so myself! I’m barely more than a kitten myself, so I have a playful side that loves to sneak up on toys like a wild little huntress. You should see the enthusiasm that I have when Foster Meowmy waves the wand toy up, down, and around the room!” Winter continues, “I deserve to live a life of leisure because by the time I was 19 months old, I had already delivered two litters of kittens at an apartment complex in southwest Houston. Like mother, like daughter -- I was a year old when Summer was born, and Summer was seven months old when we both gave birth to a total of nine kittens on the very same day in May!” We merged our two litters so none of the kits knew which of us was their momma or grandma. We raised our kittens together as true partners to insure that our kittens got the nonstop love and nurturing they needed to thrive. When the kits were six weeks old, a kind HOPE volunteer rescued all eleven of us from the apartments and brought us into foster care. Oh the fun we all might have side-by-side on the sofa as we binge on Netflix and Animal Planet. To make our ecstasy complete, you just have to promise to give Winter an occasional belly rub and from time to time scratch the sweet spots on Summer’s head. Since we’re inseparable and cry when we aren’t together, we think it would be the cat's meow if we could be adopted together. We could be lifetime cuddle buddies and playmates while you're at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet us today! Incidentally, there are advantages of adopting kitties who are past the stage of kitten mayhem. We’re much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories. HOPE ID 25-0609-S039, S040 Winter and Summer are currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. The $425 bonded-pair adoption fee includes transport, health certificate, spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. DREAMILY LOOKS UP INTO YOUR EYES  DOB 8/7/22 Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Alice, a sweet, curious, playful Turkish Van mix gal who’s mostly white with gray tabby on my head and tail. Everyone falls in love with me when my beautiful face stares up into their eyes. I love food, love to play, and love to investigate my surroundings. I was rescued by a kind woman who found me and my sisters Tris, Lucy, and Victoria as orphaned kittens when we were so young that we needed to be bottle-fed. Once we were eating on our own, our tenderhearted future Foster Meowmy responded to the plea on the HOPE FaceBook page that we needed someone to foster us until we were adopted. She brought us to our foster home, where we enjoy tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with each other until we collapse in a kitten puddle. I’m a happy girl whose life is a repeated cycle of play-sleep-eat. Since we were bottle-fed and familiar with being handled by hoomans, we’ve always been very friendly and sociable – even with strangers. In fact, we come out to meet visitors! Although we haven’t been around kids in our foster home, I’m sure we’d be fine with well-mannered children because we’ve been very comfortable around the Great Pyrenees dog (I really bonded to him.) and the other resident cats. These kitties have acted like aunts and uncles who've taught us everything that our momma would've taught us if she'd been around. I hope that I’ve piqued your interest and that you’ll arrange to meet me! Consider adopting me with my sister Tris. Two is better than one, and we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. HOPE ID 22-1022-E022 If you are interested in Alice and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you.
