DREAMILY LOOKS UP INTO YOUR EYES  DOB 8/7/22 Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Alice, a sweet, curious, playful Turkish Van mix gal who’s mostly white with gray tabby on my head and tail. Everyone falls in love with me when my beautiful face stares up into their eyes. I love food, love to play, and love to investigate my surroundings. I was rescued by a kind woman who found me and my sisters Tris, Lucy, and Victoria as orphaned kittens when we were so young that we needed to be bottle-fed. Once we were eating on our own, our tenderhearted future Foster Meowmy responded to the plea on the HOPE FaceBook page that we needed someone to foster us until we were adopted. She brought us to our foster home, where we enjoy tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with each other until we collapse in a kitten puddle. I’m a happy girl whose life is a repeated cycle of play-sleep-eat. Since we were bottle-fed and familiar with being handled by hoomans, we’ve always been very friendly and sociable – even with strangers. In fact, we come out to meet visitors! Although we haven’t been around kids in our foster home, I’m sure we’d be fine with well-mannered children because we’ve been very comfortable around the Great Pyrenees dog (I really bonded to him.) and the other resident cats. These kitties have acted like aunts and uncles who've taught us everything that our momma would've taught us if she'd been around. I’m Domino, a super sweet, friendly, and affectionate Turkish Van mix fella who loves to come up and greet my hoomans. Like most Turkish Vans, I’m mostly white with black mainly on my head and tail. The Turks would call the large black spot on my right shoulder the fingerprint of Allah. What can I say but that I’m blessed? I’m one of the few kitties who actually adores being held, so when I approach my favorite hoomans, I’m inviting them to pick me up and shower me with attention. On New Year’s Day, when I was about six months old, Foster Meowmy found my buddy Daisy and me abandoned in a cat bed on the curb in her neighborhood. Boy howdy! We were relieved that Foster Meowmy brought us to the safe haven of her home. Sharing rejection by our first owner has made Daisy and me very close. On the other hand, I’m not holding my first caretaker’s heartlessness against all hoomans. My unabashed friendliness and liking to be picked up easily demonstrate my resilience. HIS FAVORITE ORBIT IS AROUND HIS PEOPLE  DOB 7/16/23 "3 - 2 - 1 - Lift off!” I am Apollo, an easygoing, gentle Turkish Van mix guy wrapped up in a very handsome black-and-white package. I am mostly white with black on my head and tail. Incidentally, the Turks would say that the large spot on my inside right forearm is the thumbprint of Allah. I definitely turn heads, but my sweet and loving personality is what really makes me special. I am the definition of a low-maintenance cat. I am a no-drama kitty whose favorite orbit is always around my people, but I am not demanding about it. If you are relaxing on the couch, I will happily curl up beside you or flop nearby. If you are busy around the house, I might follow along to see what is going on. And when I am ready for some quiet time, you can usually find me sitting in a cardboard box by the window, watching the world go by. I may have a legendary name, but I am really just a simple guy who enjoys simple things: good food, good pets (especially belly rubs), sunny windows, and quality time with my family. MAKES BISCUITS IN RESPONSE TO SOFT WORDS IN HER EARS  DOB 1/1/24 Hey there, everyone! I am Mimi, a very sweet, calm, and gentle dilute tortoiseshell gal with white tuxedo markings who gladly displays my best biscuit-making talents whenever Foster Meowmy whispers sweet nothings in my ears. I have endeared myself to her with this delicate rhythm of my paws, but what else do you expect from a dainty, affectionate young lady like me? No wonder I was named after Mimi, the demure heroine of Puccini's "La Boheme." When Foster Meowmy found me as a lonely stray who was dumpster-diving to survive the hardscrabble life, she thankfully brought me to the safe haven of her home. She soon realized that I was a lost or abandoned pet because I seamlessly transitioned to the indoor life as well as easily made friends with the resident kitties in my foster home. When Foster Meowmy got me fully vetted, she discovered that I was positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+), which I probably contracted from the deep bite wound from another cat. (Unlike Feline Leukemia, FIV is NOT passed on "casually" by sharing food bowls and litter boxes with other household cats.) Being FIV positive means that I should live an average life span even though my immune system is compromised.
